The score was tied 10-10 after the 1st qtr. with Bagsby getting 5 for Page while Cross & Birdyshaw had 4 each for Loretto. In the 2nd score, Cross added 6 more for Loretto as Bagsby gets 3 for Page. Loretto leads at the half, 20-19. In the 3rd qtr., Bagsby gets 6 for Page while Leah Stone hit a three for Loretto as Cross was held out because of 4 fouls. Loretto maintains an one point lead after 3 qtrs., 28-27. In the 4th qtr., Bagsby had 8 more for Page while Loretto hit 12 of 16 from the line to take the win 47-44. Bagsby had a chance to tie the game with a three towards the end, but it just rimmed out. Page ended the game with 4 players with 4 fouls as Reed picked up 5 to be the only casuality. The officials called a lot of touch fouls which really slowed the game and favored Loretto as they were able to convert their FT's.

I enjoyed this game tonight. Both teams played great and Page kept Jana's scoring to a minimun. I guess it was just bad luck for Page tonight. Bagsby's 3 near the end of the game there went in and out. Those refs were just horrible tonight. I haven't seen any good ones this year. Congrats on the win Loretto and good game Page and Paige. ;)

Thanks for coming goldenboy & wadata. I guess my Santa hat didn't work for the girls - looked like a fool for nothing. You're right that our defense did hold Cross to 12 pts., but Birdyshaw & L. Stone filled the void. Cross would have had more if she hadn't got in foul trouble. Page has got to get more outside scoring - a team has to have at least three players in double figures, as Loretto did, to be successful.

I'll be coming down to Hohenwald on Tuesday to see how the Lady Panthers do against Fairview. Thursday I'll be in Summertown to watch Loretto battle the Lady Eagles. I didn't get a chance to say anything to score3 last night - maybe I'll see him at Summertown. Page doesn't play until next Friday when they'll meet DCA in the Harpeth Classic at Kingston Springs.

Great game to Loretto and Page. The reason we won is balanced scoring- if one player cant score for some reason, the others are there to pick up the slack as PageMan was saying. Great game tonight to everyone.

PageMan, I looked for you several times, and I saw you once, but I had to go to the locker room. I will see you @Summertown. Hang in there.

    • Anyone know how the scrimmage at Central went?
    • I grew up watching Greene Devil Football since I could walk and still close with a lot of the coaches so should know my history pretty well lol.  Everything worked out the way it should have but firmly believe McCurry would have won some State Title if he wouldn't been let go (Greeneville still runs the same D he brought here and he let Ballard run the O and stayed out of it when it came to calling plays.  Greeneville was put out in the Semi's McCurry's last year against Maryville and the next year Greeneville stayed in 4a and was State Runner up playing were they were placed for the first time by the TSSAA.). It was definitely a McCurry and Ballard show that turned everything around along with the Community buying in and revamping the weight room and field house. Since Ballard got promoted to HC every Coach after him has been within the Greeneville Coaching staff because your right, they know what it takes to win a state championship.  Ballard was a master mine on O and what i think Greeneville has lacked since he left and let some Championships or making it to the Championship slip away over the last few years
    • Sounds like you know your area history well. Going back and looking the records were better than I thought but mostly still beating Upper East TN schools. Ballard sounds like he came/was promoted at the right time.    I do think it’s no coincidence that them keeping the HCs as guys who were former guys on the staff. Too many times schools want a “state championship” leveled coach from the outside but they don’t know the landscape. Promoting from within will help with less turnover and keep the program consistent.
