dragonwrestler
Where was Franklin Mondelli? What weight is he wrestling? Also, how did Tyler Wright do, and where was Greeneville ?
lovetowrestle
Congratulations to Baylor for wrestling well this weekend! Father Ryan and McCallie wrestler pretty good although loosing a couple pivitol matches. Ryan Scott had a very tough match in the tournament, but look for him to wrestle well and be in the state finals. Father Ryan came in 3rd place without a 103, or 112 who was not able to wrestle. Frank Mondelli had the flu and a inexperinced sophomore was put in his place, starter Charlie Oddo didnt wrestle because of a wrist injury. It will be interesting to see the Baylor, McCallie, and Father Ryan dual match they should be pretty close. Watch out for Notre Dame they have a bunch of good wrestlers hungry to place in State! best_of_the_west
Anybody else think that the Dunning/Geismer match should have been best match? I mean Leen pinned that Brother Martin kid, and although it was a good match, I thought the Dunning/Geismer match was better match. I think the best moment of the tournament came when Dunning hit that gator role to win the match with seconds on the clock (I'm not a FR fan, by the way). sdballer2005
what happend to lane ?
best_of_the_west
He got beat by the Brother Martin kid in the semis. Leen pinned the Brother Martin kid, but it was a good match until then. Leen stacked him, and it almost seemed like an accident. I wish Lane had won, because that would have been a great rematch. walkenvol
Anybody else think that the Dunning/Geismer match should have been best match? While I agree that the Geismer/Dunning had the most exciting finish, my vote for best match would have been the James/Hiller match. Great match for the entire 6 minutes between 2 of the state's best. The 30 second scramble in the 1st period that resulted in no scoring was as good as it gets.
best_of_the_west
It was good to see the match, but James pretty much had his way from neutral. He couldn't keep Hiller down, but Hiller couldn't do much about James' shots.
Rabbitt
james and hiller did have a good match, but james took him down and let him up 5 times. they had some good scrambles, but hiller was never a threat to win the match. when someone takes you down 5 times in a match, that shouldnt be awarded best match. best_of_the_west
The kid that beat Ryan Scott is Ben Fiacco of Harrison, Ga. I just noticed that he is ranked #23 in that nation at 152.
