At McCeachern HS, Atlanta, Jordan Lane defeated John Lane in a terrific re-match 5-2. Baylor won the tournament with 5 dual meet wins.

The tournament was today at McEachern. Baylor defeated Soddy in a semi-final match, and beat McEachern in the finals. Baylor sophmore Derek Walker also defeated senior Paul Campbell of Soddy at 189!

 

Leen controlled Lane the entire match. Lane scored on an escape and a penalty point. Leen had him stacked twice and should have received near fall points. The match was not close!

what happend to paul campbell? ....... i remember when i went to the soddy @ baylor match earlier this year and paul domintaed this guy

Because Walker is Baylor's 215, Walker gives a lot of weight to wrestle 189 but he is a great wrestler at 215, this was his first time this year at his weight,, The guy that was at the soddy match,, he is just a sophmore and never wrestled varsity so that was the reason he was dominated..

Campbell is mature and strong , this was walkers first time to wrestle 89 ,although that is what he has been weighing for some time,if walker can wrestle with the determination he showed against campbell saturday, he will be a contender as a sophomore, which is impressive at an upper weight.

The scores of 4-2 and 5-2 make me want to see a third match. Doesn't Soddy have a tourney in three weeks? If so, will Baylor be there?
