Dyer County girls are getting better every game. Now that they have put down Obion County, they better not be underestimated. With three and four strong scorers they are going to be tough for anybody to beat. Don't forget they scored

63 points against Gibson County.

THESE GIRLS WONT BEAT DYERSBURG AGAIN

How are you so sure of this? It was proved in the last game that Strayhorn is not as "great" as she is cut out to be. Sara Jo was doing a very good job against her.

It will be a good game, dont get me wrong, but I think DC will pull through again. People underestimate the DC girls, and they just keep proving people wrong.

the fact that dc lost to shellbyville by 40 something, doesn't mean they can't beat jackson county if they were to play them again. dc got up by 1 at a point and time in that game, they just fell towards the end. the only teams that have beat dc are at least ranked in the top 5 in the STATE! except for brighton, and there aren't any excuses to losing to them. dc just played bad that night, and beat them the second time. if dc were to play jackson county again, they would have a good chance of beating them.

Really? what makes you think that DC would have a "good chance" of beating Jackson County? just curious as i watched the game and there was nothing that lead me to believe the outcome of the game was ever in doubt. I am sure your girls have gotten better as this year has progressed, but thats a pretty bold statement to make, i for one hope we get to see a re match as that would mean both of our teams were having great years and meeting in the state! :D

i just think that dc has gotten a lot better since they have played jackson co. they have gotten SO much better EVERY game. and i'm proud of those girls. if they want it bad enough, they can go far, they just have to have the heart to do it.

i have watched dc play and i think they are getting better every game. dyersburg seems to be getting worse. i agree strayhorn is not all she is cracked up to be. she always will try and take the game in her hands instead of using her team mates. d-burg does have a great team but so does dc. dburg should dominate year end and year out with the talent level they have--but for some reason they don't. they are only losing 2 seniors and dc 1.. who has the best 8th grade class coming up dburg or dc?????

    • Hmmmmmm doe dee doe doe……sounds like they are leaving Geenback faster than the lawnmower will go in fifth gear.  Hmmmm….. you can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • West looked solid...excited to see this young group excel
    • When you have a school that right at 200 kids only half are going to be male and to get 25% of them to come out for football is a very hard task. Take away an 8th grade syatem and your you have another hill to climb up. If 5 kids are actually leaving your not going to have enough for practice. Your only chances for wins would be against the weakest of weak teams. At one time Greenback had kids coming across the wall like the Mexican Border and now their leaving town before sundown. A hugh mistake was made on not hiring Ryan back because of his ties to the community and his ability to bring in the right kids, not run them off. The last coach failed because he wasn't one of community so they go out and do it again. I'm sure Coach Clemmer is a good person because I do know people that do like him but he is caught in the middle of a fan base that will not support him no matter what and it could lead to a disaster if that many kids are leaving the program. The person that caused all of this mess has no business on the school board and needs to stick with hiding in the bushes giving out speeding tickets to out of towners coming through.
    • My outsider looking in perspective is Oliver Springs, Coalfield, Rockwood, and Harriman: fill out the top 4 good teams that beat up on the bottom and will all be in a good place to win in the 1st round with one team maybe making it farther. Midway: funnily enough in the middle an alright team that can beat the teams below them but not the top 4 misses the playoffs but still has a decent record. Oakdale, Greenback, Sunbright: round out the bottom each team has its problems and with a rough region and challenging non-conference records may not be pretty. Oakdale graduated lots of talent and experience, Greenback is in all sorts of internal turmoil with their new coach, and Sunbright small roster tough region not tons of Fb played. (Teams could be rearranged with other teams in their groups but this is how I see them finishing)
    • Kids quitting to focus on one sport could be a worry but multi-sport athletes transferring out would damage more than just football so I think the people who made this decision could find out they are going to get burned in multiple ways.
