CBHS won something like 56-22. It was CBHS' Senior night, so they put some seniors in that aren't normal varsity. Sharp (G'town) beat Velasco 10-4. Sharp threw/fell on him about a minute into the match and got 2 takedown and 3 back. Velasco got a takedown. Sharp escaped. Velasco got a takedown or maybe reversal and the cut Sharp. Sharp got a takedown at the end. It was a good match. Velasco looked good from neutral, but he made the one mistake in the first period.

An explanation for: "Why are there only two Division II teams from the West Region when the other regions have three teams?" Several years ago, only two teams from each region were going to the state dual meet tournament. The Division II coaches realized that some very good teams were staying home and a tournament of six teams created some difficulties in scheduling. We asked TSSAA for an eight-team tournament that would address both issues. Though the west had just as many schools as the other regions, very few of them had full teams. Most could fill fewer than seven weight classes. If the tournament remains with eight teams and the west gets more teams, they may be allowed more representation and another region, probably the east, might be limited to two teams going to the state dual tournament.

    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
