Walk where? Even if they did it, it wouldn't be taken too seriously. Both coaches know that they can't have anyone injured on account of a "grudge match" for the simple purpose of proving who's better. It would just be a practice sort of scrimage. Anyway, I don't know about walking away with it...The teams are very friendly, so I wouldn't count on a no-holds-bar all out dual.

Although the West Region Duals for DII seems to be a forgone conclusion for 1st place, there are some state tourney seed implications that need to be considered. In DII the wrestlers who get seeded are returning medalists and anyone who has beaten them. If CBHS wants to make a serious run at the state title, they need to secure seeds where they can. Returning medalists they need to beat are as follows:

Nelson Rainey (MUS) at ??

Doug Taylor (STB) at 145

Andrew Hooser (MUS at 275

Lawrence Seay (MEM CATH) at 275

CBHS already has the following returning medalists:

Marable x 2

Simpson

Velasco

Saint

Coach Lewis, I know it sounds weird to be asking about freestyle already, but I've just got a couple of quick questions. Do practices start the first week of March? At which schools are they, and on which days? Gracias.

best of the west - I know you were directing this question to Coach Lewis, but it did not get addressed here. Maybe you found out already, but for the benefit of posterity:

The Midsouth Wrestling Club will be meeting next week regarding work out sites, times for practice, coaching responsibilities, etc. Once we finalize things, I will be posting the necessary information on the website, www.midsouthwrestling.org
