Richland won by 13 and played not very good at all good thing we got that outta the way before take on the second best team in the state next Friday. Should be a great game next Friday. Richland vs. Forrest. I guess me and GeneP can both see what the other thinks of both teams and thier respected players. Edited by raider16

I hear that Forrest is all good but i disagree . they have jenkins who should dominate in single A but instead he decides to play like he is 6'0 rather playin like the giant he is .but thats ok i have no problem with him playin like that but i wish people wold stop giving him credit.also Shankle he is not that great either but he is better than jenkins and he can shoot but jenkins aint that good and im sure their are people out there that agree with me. I dont go to Forrest but i do think Shankle deserves more credit than jenkins does.i think credit should be taken from jenkins cause shankle leads that team and its still a wonder how they are ranked in the state. Forrest plays Richland next friday and i beleive Richland cant take Forrest cause Richland is lead by the best player in the district and everyone knows it. chris murdock will lead his team to victory friday caause jenkins cant handle it.

we-have-respect, your post is ridiculous. Listen don't try to come between Hunter and Jamar cause it isn't happening. They both do lead that team and they both have that team strapped on their back. They both deserve alot of credit for where Forrest is now. And where they are now is where they are supposed to be and are going to stay. Among the top in the state. I will say it looks like it will be a great Tourney. They is alot of talent and good teams in R6A.

I see Summertown potentially going back to sub-state as they are playing pretty well right now. Mt. Pleasant is good ive heard and Forest has beaten some good teams so its really pretty hard to say. Wayne Co. is supposed to be good, and Perry Co. is playing better, not to mention Richland and a few others. I believe, unlike last year, the home team in the sub-state games between Regions 5 and 6 will go on to Murfreesboro. Just don't know who that is yet...

..hmm ur boy huh...how interesting...... Well you should understand that we did not lead but yet was down by 22 and came back and tied it up? Hmm and it is to bad that your boy will never see the number 1 or number 2 spot in the district tourney...in fact once u lose again to Forrest you chances are slim to none. U noticed that Richland was talking trash at the beginning of the year and they lose like 6 or 7 and then got put in their place, but now that they get a good quality win against an opponent they start talking trash again. Richland still has to go through Cascade, Forrest, and MC. After they defeat all 3 of them , they will earn my respect.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
