Georgia's 4A Coach of the Year in football ended up resigning yesterday after a dispute with administration over giving a kid a varsity letter. The kid hadn't met the set minimum requirements to earn a letter. The kid had previously been kicked off the team during the playoffs for cursing the coach. But the kid also has Tourette's syndrome.

I know this happened in GA, but it goes to show you how crazy things have gotten in the world of H.S. sports. Statesboro is in south Georgia, so don't think this is an suburban Atlanta soccer mom thing. South Georgia is similar in a lot of aspects to rural Tennessee.
