ETSUbound1- I know that Redding, Uner, Russell, King, nor any of the freshmen play any other sports. You will probably say that Russell and Uner both played sofball last year with Broyhill, but we all know that the assistant b-ball coach is the softball coach and that they did not have abide by the same rules as the other softball girls and so I do not consider that playing another sport...niether does Coach Huskey for that matter. Kremer is not playing any other sports this year and probably not any more throughout her career at SC. That leaves soccer which has Broyhill, Fox and Porter, and track which has Tarwater, Fox and Fleming. That is six that play other sports and 10 that do not...if you want to add Uner and Russell because of the joke soccer team, that is still 8 that do and 8 that do not. You would think that if thier head coach was so up on the girls playing other sports that there would be less than half not playing any other sports. Coach Huskey has always said that he "didn't mind the girls playing other sports as long as it did not effect their basketball...i.e. summer b-ball, fall ball, and b-ball season). As you probably know, they more than forty games in the summer, about 20 in the fall, and about 30-40 in the regular season, when is another sport not going to effect all that time. Man, get you facts straight like I have and stop shooting off at the mouth. You sound like you are in high school because most of them shoot off at the mouth without any proof to back up their story.

hey zing, it sounds like your the one that needs to stop shooting off at the mouth and stick your foot in it. Before you were saying how known of them play any other sport except basketball, and now your naming all the other sports they play. Do you have split personalities or somethin.

As for me I am just a stupid high school student, that is why I have proof, it is called a yearbook and it has sports pages which list all of the team members, and I said freshmen don't count because basketball is a winter sport that means that there is no off season until the spring, Redding runs track, who are you anyways? I have become pretty good friends with Jac and as far as I know she is going to run track.

Trueline, just for a little bit of information, Sevier Co. is out of school today, winter break. And to the SC fan who stated experience will prevale in the SC/Seymour game. Have you checked both teams rosters, they are both loaded with seniors. It amazes me how this post became such a grudge match with Seymour. It was started about SC improving, why drag Seymour into it. Why don't the fans just let the girls play ball????

Exactly.....very good........tell him to stop his off the topic posts.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
