I think you might be surprised by Webb. They were plauged by injuries all season last year but had several strong performances including a one goal loss to Mccallie. Coach Bloom is one of the best coaches around and does a great job teaching a team game using ball control and off ball movement. Jennings is gone but I think that will play into more of an advantage for Webb in that it will force them to play more as a unit, which plays right into their offensive schemes. Webb is strong at the face off position and it could really poise as a problem for opponents. Coach Bloom has done a great job developing fundamentally sound players that are begining to feed into some pretty good college programs. I expect big things out of the Feet but who knows.

Yes, Redtwin Webb should be alright but that one goal loss last year was in my opinion a fluke, reasons: brakebill didnt play he broke his foot, jennings had a great game, i dont know exact stats but he had like all their goals but one and he probably assisted that one. Then a while later they played again up in Webb and they beat them by like 14 goals. To the present.... Jennings in gone and so is their long pole that faced off but from the film ive seen brakebill and their other face off guys handled all of their face off men regularly. The smaller goalie is pretty good from what ive seen but i really dont know they are very questionable and i dont think that they will even be close to the tournament or the top of the league because they lost their two key players. Thanks.

I agree. Abernathy is their only weapon, but he is not quite Jennings's calibur.

Have any of yall ever heard of Lassiter High School down in Atlanta, Georgia? They are supposed to be really good. They played Virginia state champs and beat them 31-0. Two defensive players scored. They are amazing.

I'm sorry but I think that you are mistaken. Lassiter is a very par team in Georgia and Georgia lacrosse is significantly worse than Tennessee. They might have beaten the lowest level VA public school, but the VA private schools and mid and higher level public schools would dominate any team in Georgia. These Virginia schools have been feeding players into top level dvision 1 programs for years. I do know however, that Lassiter does have one very talented longpole so the defensive scoring does not surprise me at all.

    • With Westview only losing one senior and returning Sims, they have to be one of the favorites in AA
    • Watched Westview at McKenzie Thursday and they surprised me. Without Evans (who was sick) and Brent (who had thumb surgery shortly after getting back from her ankle injury), they looked solid. I didn’t realize Gray from SF had transferred in. You have Sims, Gray, Brent, Trevathan, and Evans and that’s a solid 5. Then, you bring in Hayden and Rogers off the bench along with some other upcoming and they will be tough again this year!
    • Hmmmmmm doe dee doe doe……sounds like they are leaving Geenback faster than the lawnmower will go in fifth gear.  Hmmmm….. you can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • West looked solid...excited to see this young group excel
    • When you have a school that right at 200 kids only half are going to be male and to get 25% of them to come out for football is a very hard task. Take away an 8th grade syatem and your you have another hill to climb up. If 5 kids are actually leaving your not going to have enough for practice. Your only chances for wins would be against the weakest of weak teams. At one time Greenback had kids coming across the wall like the Mexican Border and now their leaving town before sundown. A hugh mistake was made on not hiring Ryan back because of his ties to the community and his ability to bring in the right kids, not run them off. The last coach failed because he wasn't one of community so they go out and do it again. I'm sure Coach Clemmer is a good person because I do know people that do like him but he is caught in the middle of a fan base that will not support him no matter what and it could lead to a disaster if that many kids are leaving the program. The person that caused all of this mess has no business on the school board and needs to stick with hiding in the bushes giving out speeding tickets to out of towners coming through.
