Lawrence County's Desmond McGuire was named the 8AAA District Player of the Year

only one player made it from the district champs, lawrence county, and that was the MVP, shows that they get a lot of respect!!

lawcohicat, i was also disappointed that no one else made the all-district team.....i mean, the third place team has three people that made it, and lawrence county swept them this season

It is how you play during the year not the parents and fans votes. Your coach turn in the nominations and between those that was nominated maybe the ones that was pick was the better player.

Macintosh your post was quite funny. Duh...... maybe the players were better? Lawrence County SWEPT Columbia and split with Shelbyville. I'm not even from Lawrence County but when I read your post I couldn't help but laugh. A first place district team with one player on it...........now that's somewhat strange. Some people got robbed and I think it was a few more players from Lawrence County.

farside, if you have seem lawrenceburg play the really just have one dominant player so if the rest was overlooked oh well the votes are in so the subject is close

macintosh....one dominant player, as you said, didn't get Lawrence County a season district championship. it took other guys steppin up and playin big. the votes are in, but there were definitely players from lawrence county overlooked.
