natalie#25
Umm... I wish I was the all-time leading scorer in the county, but I KNOW for a fact that Molly York and Ashlee Robertson scored more than 2,000. I am not sure about any other players past, but I know those two did at least.
greenwheel
How many points did Erica Davenport score? Her and Molly have to be close in point totals.
natalie#25
I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that her senior year she was trying to hit 1,000. I don't know if she ever did it or not. Her and Molly aren't close in points from what I understand. Molly played a lot early in her high school career as a post, but Wayne County was loaded with guards and Erica's scoring came along later. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but this is how I remember it.
greenwheel
Did a little quick research Natalie. Went to Freed-Hardeman's website in Ashlee Robertson bio it said she scored 2300 points in high school. Went to Union University's website in Molly York bio she scored 2227 points and had 780 rebounds and shot 58% from the field in high school. Went to Belmont's website for Erica Davenport couldn't find any stats in her high school bio. Went to the 2001 girls state basketball program. She was a miss basketball finalist that season so they had a short bio on her. For her career she averaged 13.4 points 5.2 rebounds 3.3 steals and 3.6 assists in 135 games. That probably doesn't include her last 4 or 5 games. Based on that she scored at least 1809 points and had at least 702 rebounds.
chattanoogachoochooforyou
I know for certain that Erica scored over 1,000. She was close to 2,000. Also, there were many players in the late 80's and early 90's from Wayne Co. that I remember scoring a lot of points. I don't know how close they were to 2,000, but I know they put up some numbers. Back to the post's topic, my sources from the Tennessean tell me that Natalie led the entire Mid-State in scoring and three's made this season as well as scoring over 50 and 2,000. She must be a pretty good player to do that.

natalie#25
I am sorry people. I don't know what I was thinking saying that I didn't think that Erica got 1,000. I had a brain lapse there for a minute or two I guess. I knew that she got it, I don't know why I said that. Maybe I meant that she was trying to get 2,000 her senior year. That could have been it. Oh well, no harm done I don't guess. It is kinda bad when YOU don't even know what you mean. LOL.
