7:30 Alcoa vs Seymour (girls championship) 3-AA

9:00 Maryville vs Bearden (boys championship) 4-AAA

Why was the Heritage vs. Maryville girls game not broadcast on Tuesday? WKZX missed an opportunity for a lot of listeners because people did not get off work in time to come or other reasons. I've heard several people express disappointment in that decision.

Yeah ... I didn't see any 93.5 people there for either game at Bearden on Tuesday. I heard Herzog announce the games would be aired on Tuesday morning. What happened, Cupper?

On Tuesday, WKZX 93.5 was supposed to have the Heritage/Maryville girls game at 4:30, the Alcoa/AE girls game at 7:30, and the Maryville/WB boys game at 9:00. The sports department was informed on Tuesday that we would be unable to air any games prior to 6:00 due to a committment that the station has with John Tesh Radio. We were able to do it on Monday, but after that, the powers that be with KZ 93.5 said, "No more." We were obviously disappointed with that decision, but that was what we lived with. At that point, since Russell and myself were already going to be at Fulton, we just kept it there and did the Alcoa boys game that followed the girls contest and gave Todd and Ron the night off. Tonight we will be at both places. We are very sorry that we can not have 4:30 games. This will affect next week as well. We were told we could do afternoon games if teams advance to the state tourney. Thanks for tuning in.
