Alcoa vs. McMinn

I'm thinking that Alcoa will win this one, but I'm saying by less than 3 points...During the fall, Alcoa got beaten by McMinn in a scrimmage game, but that was without Branden Warren, who is contributing quite a lot. Alcoa has improved tremendously since then, but I don't know about McMinn..

Brandon is contributin a lot. He puts some emotion into the other players and the Marsh Pit. I havent seen McMinn play or even heard much about them but this should be a great one. To bad Boliver and Raliegh have to play eachother in the first round of state. That is bad for them but good for the rest of the field,it knocks out a great team.

[McMinn Central Maniac]

It's McMinn Central not to be confused with McMinn County. It offends people from both schools to be mistaken for the other. It's a common mistake made by folks outside our region.

 

Central is a hard team to figure out, but they are definitely playing their best ball of the season. They manhandled Portland and held Corey Brewer to 20 points (six in the first half) in the sectional game played at Central. Sophomore Beau Brown poured in 22 despite missing most of the second half getting stitches in his eyebrow. (He had 16 at the half.)
