They do not have much pitching. Probably their best pitcher is Michael Paul Gilbert. Gilbert and Ricky Lowe are their best players overall, they are also the best hitters on the team. Once you get past Lowe in the line-up, you can get them out. Gilbert can run well.

We beat them like 17-0 or something like that.

Same team that lost big to Rockwood beat Oneida last night like a drum. Coalfield is young with Lowe the only starting senior.

well, im looking forward to playing coalfield tommorrow, maybe it will be a good game.

If Coalfield has somebody on the hill throwing strikes, they will have a good game. That was their main problem when we (Rockwood) played them. Lowe was the only player to put the ball in play, but we did have our ace on the hill.

I didn't know Coalfield was that young, they have the potential to be a solid club this year, and on down the road.

Also, the Coalfield Little league program and summer program has been down since the State championship was won in 1998. This is the first year in about five the little league program has had an age group in the 13-14 year old age group, Sandy Koufax. This age group was playing t-ball when that State was won. Program has been down but like all things in A ball, the cycle is on the way up.

Coalfield normally starts 1 senior, 2 juniors, 4 sophomores and 2 freshmen. Tyler Meredith, Ricky Lowe, Jeff Mull and David Dunlap all pitch besides Gilbert.
