Livingston Academy will be stacked this year. With all returning except for 2-3 starters both ways, they'll be a team to be reckoned with this year. All-Star running backs and QB Wilson Cates running the team...The Boro' will be the last stop if thye can get the train rolling this season.

I believe they play in the most competitive region in the state. Do you think they can get past the likes of Trousdale Co., Portland, York, Smith Co.? How good is Mike Jones looking?

Without a doubt a very hard region. Can the Wildcats get through it unscaved..thats another question. We have a great group of athletes comeing up right now as Juniors this year. The two running backs that have been under the watch are Brian Colson and Jamie Vaughn led by the sensational QB Wilson Cates. If Livingston wants to say competitive they need to come out of the gate blazig this year. The past couple of years LA has struggled in the first 3 games but have been a team to watch in the next 7 regular season games. LA was a team that missed the playoffs with a 7-3 record and then they're some teams toward Chattanooga goes witha 3-7 record its a shame about that!!!

I agree that LA will be very tough next year. They do have alot of returning starters from last year and loads of experience. I wonder about their off-season program since they didn't compete in the weight lifting competition. To be great in this region you have to be fast AND strong. Portland and Smith County are also returning alot of starters. Should be an interesting region and season. I also agree with the playoff comment. It is ridiculous.

After an injury last year at the Jackson Co. game Mike Jones hasn't been the same. What I mean by that is he injured his hand and I think the injury is still in his head. The couple of games he played in after the injury he coughed up the ball like bad medicine. He's a great running back and will be one of the 3 power runners in the backfield of Livingston Academy this year!!

    • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.  But my point was who can blame a kid for not wanting to be in a private school.  Nobody is zoned for a private school, it's a free country right?
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
