He always has the boys and girls soccer teams playing at their best each and every game. He beats the teams that no says they can beat. He is also a real class act. I know some of you will get on here and bash me but you know what I don't really give a crap. That is my opinion and I am sticking with it. B):)

He's a good coach, but best coach in East TN or even the Chattanooga area is a far stretch when you consider the likes of coaches who have their teams contending for championships year in and year out...the likes of Jimmy Weekley at Baylor and David Stanton at CCS come to mind...there are also some other great coaches out there now that used to play and are building programs but just don't have the talent yet.

I like that you have an opinion on earls and it is a positive one. The year he can get both or either team to finley stadium I will jion you. His decisions in the play off part of the year is where he must prove himself. Districit only counts in the years he had bad teams which he had few. I like a lot about him but not totally sold on every thing.

yup, winchester and curtis for sure. they led the lady owls soccer team to a district championship back in the fall season and i believe that they will get us the district win and take us on to state. and the way we've shaped up so far it looks like were definetly gonna get there.

Hey Chip, too bad the boys state tourney is in Memphis, not C-Town.

Get the facts right before you post.

    • I grew up watching Greene Devil Football since I could walk and still close with a lot of the coaches so should know my history pretty well lol.  Everything worked out the way it should have but firmly believe McCurry would have won some State Title if he wouldn't been let go (Greeneville still runs the same D he brought here and he let Ballard run the O and stayed out of it when it came to calling plays.  Greeneville was put out in the Semi's McCurry's last year against Maryville and the next year Greeneville stayed in 4a and was State Runner up playing were they were placed for the first time by the TSSAA.). It was definitely a McCurry and Ballard show that turned everything around along with the Community buying in and revamping the weight room and field house. Since Ballard got promoted to HC every Coach after him has been within the Greeneville Coaching staff because your right, they know what it takes to win a state championship.  Ballard was a master mine on O and what i think Greeneville has lacked since he left and let some Championships or making it to the Championship slip away over the last few years
    • Sounds like you know your area history well. Going back and looking the records were better than I thought but mostly still beating Upper East TN schools. Ballard sounds like he came/was promoted at the right time.    I do think it’s no coincidence that them keeping the HCs as guys who were former guys on the staff. Too many times schools want a “state championship” leveled coach from the outside but they don’t know the landscape. Promoting from within will help with less turnover and keep the program consistent.
    • You’re a fool if you think I have more than one account
    • Looking back they had better records than I recalled against upper East TN.  But they still took off once ballard got there. And beating other good programs
