  1. I love the Cookeville v. Ooltewah match up not only because they are great games... but because the fans actually get along. Last year when Cookeville came to Ooltewah it was the best fan to fan relationship I have ever seen between two schools.... It's nice to not have to put up with fans badmouthing eachother. Good luck with your season Cavs (unless you play Ooltewah in the playoffs) and GO OWLS!!!!!!
  2. I would just like to give props to Bobby Smith, the McMinn Co. goalkeeper... Kid deserves a lot of credit for giving his team a chance to win.
  3. Soddy Daisy at McMinn Co. Tuesday 7:00.
  4. African Owl, check eurosportscoreboard.com i believe it says the owls are 13-3-3.. region 3 semi finals : Ooltewah vs. Walker Valley Tuesday 7 at the nest
  5. Every year people bring up the old Assault team from 3 years ago... That team was good, no doubt. Playing on that team is perhaps my finest memories of soccer. Most of the top players in the Chattanooga area go back to that Assault team. Chris Bach, Devin Mathis, Fynn Glover, Patrick Johnson, Joel Bradford, Jamey Stone, Philip Brock, and Andrew Gamble.... those are just a few of the possible top players in the area... all go back to that Assault team. That team could've very well built itself into a national contender.
  6. Ooltewah has a mixture of the 3 that plays on the loudspeaker before the games.... A really good one though is the Ludacris/Sum41 mix of Get Back is a pretty crunk song
  7. Basically.... no one will be seeing the full Ooltewah roster in any scrimmage due to different things... The roster however is basically the same roster as last year, but that full team will not be playing as a whole in any scrimmage so I guess everyone will just have to wait until opening day!
  8. Cookeville is a very impressive organization that has a real shot at winning this game and then beating riverdale. Who knows.... Maybe Ooltewah will manage to make it to the semi-finals and set up a rematch of week 0, but that is still a long ways away and both teams need to win some VERY tough games... but just a little wishful thinking!
  9. I really don't think the Mountaineers stand a chance in this game.... But I am rooting for them in this game for some obvious reasons.... GO HERITAGE!
  10. I think this is a good match up and I think it should be a high scoring game. I posted here earlier, and I know everyone knows who I am rooting for considering I play for Ooltewah... But I think Oak Ridge will win in a close, high scoring affair.... But best of luck to you Admirals! GO FARRAGUT!!
  11. Of course, I will be rooting for Farragut to help the Owls by winning the region. Unfortunately, I don't think the Admirals can beat the Cats. Oak Ridge is a great team, and Ooltewah really beat themselves when they played Farragut (7 turnovers) and I strongly think Oak Ridge is a better team than Farragut. Oak Ridge will win by atleast 2 touchdowns...
  12. Definitely has to be considered for the best HS game of the year.... Ooltewah was down 30-7 in the 3rd quarter to the #2 in 5A Oak Ridge and came back to win 42-37!!! GO OWLS!!!
  13. No one really gave us (Ooltewah) a chance in this one to win... And in the first half it looked like it could get ugly... but we played with a lot of heart in the 2nd half and came back to upset the Wildcats 42-37!!!! GO OWLS!!!!
  14. Both teams were pretty evenly matched skill wise..... The only difference was the fact that Ooltewah turned the ball over so many times. You can't win a game when a quarterback throws 4 INTs and fumbles the ball.... Zack Woods uncharacteristically did not play well... but he will put this behind him I am sure and get ready for Oak Ridge next week.
  15. Ooltewah also played last year w/o Dewayne Caldwell, he will be healthy this year... unfortunately Ooltewah is facing other injuries... but even with the Ooltewah injuries, should be a memorable game.
  16. 4-6 weeks is accurate, should be back for playoffs if not the last game of the season...
  17. 56-7 Ooltewah wins... No surprises on the Owls homecoming night.
  18. Ooltewah wasn't exactly a good team in 2003. Ooltewah actually has experience and a solid team now. Not making a prediction or anything because I don't think it's right to make a prediction in a game you're playing in... but I am just saying you can't compare this year to 2003.
  19. seriously master blaster, what is your problem? We get the fact that you are very anti-ooltewah! You don't have to keep putting them down! You will see what kind of team the Owls can be after their bye-week and have time to get healthy.
