It is a little slow in Red Hawk land with the dead period going on, but several things have been happening on the hill at CW. first we are in our second season of region play and if you don't know who or where we are you will after this year as we flop home dates with our opponents. Region 5-3a is tough, make no mistake about that. Greenbrier has to be the fav. Sycamore has the second most talent and should do well. Marshall Co. has great coaches and good but not great talent and should make a run at the second season. Page with a new coach combined with the loss of several skill people will be downsome and that is not a disrespectful statement toward Coach Palmer and his players just one man's opinion. Because they certainly took Creek Wood to the shed in 03. Giles county could surprise some folks. They have a few athletes but not a lot of conditioning last season. Montgomery Central has been working very hard to become competitive and I wish them the best of luck. Coach Ray and his staff are good people that need commitment from the players. I am a little biased on the last team when I tlk of the Red Hawks. They missed the play-offs by a game in 03 and have been working hard to improve for 04. The new head coach is Chuck Daniel. He was named to that position last week replacing Coach Bledsoe who went to Dickson Co. The players and staff are excited and look forward to the fall schedule. We only lost 3 starters and have a stable of running backs that includes a jewel that no one has ever seen. Offense should be balanced and someone needs to step up to replace two staters lost on o-Line. Defense will be the determining factor for CW's play-off run.
