I read in the Jackson Sun that if McKenzie and Union City drop to single A,they will both wind up in this region.If that happens, that will put nine teams in this region.How will this work?That would mean 8 out of the 10 regular season games would be region games.Would they split into two divisions?Any info would be appreciated.

I hope that McKenzie and Union City don't drop down to 1A. I haven't heard anything about this until I just read the post before this one.

Don't see anyway numbers wise that McKenzie & Union City don't drop. It would make the most sense to move West Carroll & Bruceton to Region 7 & put McKenzie there. They'll be losing USJ & maybe Perry Co. if they're moved back across the river. 8A would "welcome" Union City and maybe Peabody depending on where the class break winds up.

Thanks for the replys but the original question was .............What happens this season............lets hear some opinions..........I am a Bruceton fan and do look for them to be improved, but with new coach and still not alot of team speed not sure if winning the region is possible.

I think this region may be as wide open as it ever has been. Bruceton should be improved but still not old dominant self, West Carroll will still be good, South Fulton will be down a little but still very competitive, Greenfield and Halls should be decent and Lake County is a year older and should make the playoffs in year two of their rebuilding.

Well south fulton did loose alot of starters this past year but still have some talent. I know a few more kids have moved there to play and really theyu have a pretty decent team. Maybe we will see at the scrimmage what they might have.

South Fulton can win this region if they can get past one team.......West Carroll. Yes, South Fulton did lose several good players but they have a pretty good squad. im lookin forward to see yall play next season. best of luck

Greenfield should have a run for Region Champion spot.

 

What I'm about to say has nothing to do with what I said just before this. Brandon Shane and Jeremy Smith are gonna play this year.
