crazyvolfan
You can't always go by the list. There are a lot that have the little pencils by their name but haven't signed.
bhsOL
Class of 06 can't sign yet 825329525[/snapback] That's what I thought, but Chris Leake (Florida's QB) originally signed with Wake Forrest in the 9th grade believe it or not. Coach Mo
There's a big difference between "signed" and "verbally committed". Players cannot officially sign until after their junior year. They can verbally commit much earlier.
GradfromtheNest
Haha, I don't see how some of you even found your way onto this board. It's illegal and just doesn't happen...College coaches aren't even allowed to talk to them yet...at least in baseball.

So that allows them to offer a schlorship and committ sooner than normal. Taylor King from California Mater Dei H.S. verbally committed to play basketball at UCLA during 8th grade. He is now a JR and was matched up vs. Brandan Wright(Brentwood Academy) two weeks ago. Now its up to the college if they want to uphold a committment that long. I know they drop hints, etc, but they can't say, "come play with us - here's what we'll give you."
