Wartburg + O.S. + Harriman

Is it possible to have a 3 way tie between these 3 teams for 4th place and if so how will they settle who goes to the playoffs.will it be by overall record?

Wartburg needs to beat OS, if you assume all 3 teams lose al their games to Sweetwater, Rockwood, and Alcoa. That would put each with 1 win and one loss to one of teh teams in the 3 way tie. Overall record is the tie breaker. If that is tied there are about 5 more tie breakers that you can find on TSSAA.org under the rules for Football.

So there you go if OS beats Warturg and the rest of the region games go to the favorites then OS makes it in the playoffs. If you aren't a OS fan than root for Wartburg in that game, and for your team in all non-region games.

Both teams must be struggling this year. I know Wartburg is having a tough time, but Oliver Springs having to beat Wartburg to get into the playoffs? Isn't that a bit unusual.

 

Anyway, I'm a dawg at heart. Go get 'em Wartburg...keep them Cats outta the playoffs and get yourself in!

1. The team with the greatest number of victories.

2. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams winning 50 percent or more of their

games.

3. The team whose opponents have earned the most victories.

4. The team whose opponents have received fewer defeats.

5. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams in its own class.

6. Ten yardline overtime procedure at neutral site Monday night at 7:30 P.M.
