I can think of several things that would be worse.. Not qualifying for the playoffs, losing in the first round, losing in the second round, losing in the third round, losing in the fourth round, losing in the final game... in that order.. those all would be worse..
Didn’t make it out to the game last night. I always listen to the Pirate radio guys. Last night a friend told me to turn it and listen to Gordonsville crew.104.1 FM The Ranch. I’ve never heard as much crying and derogatory baseless facts in my life. Those guys are suppose to be adults but they are unprofessional whining titty babies. The slanderous things that were being said all night was BUSH LEAGUE. The constant “jokes” about transfers and recruiting were pathetic. I’ve listened to our radio guys through the years. Last year our radio never said anything like this. They just said “we got beat by the better team.” Dunwoody and Jackson are classy. Those guys are not. At the end of the day Wallace caught what 2 passes? All the rest of the runs on offense was done by the same guys that were on the roster last year.
The things they were saying… “We don’t want their scholarship locker to not have a chance to punt.” When talking about Wallace thee statement was made “he committed to SP last spring.” “It was a different team from last year because of transfers.” Gordonsville is a football town with fine people and they deserve better representation from their radio crew than what they are getting.
By the way…
When I switched back to our SP broadcast. It was nice listening to the final stats. Those freshman and sophomore classes are going to be stupid good. SP had freshman in at the end running the ball and the leading rusher on the night is a sophomore that was on the team last year. I don’t agree with everything our coaches do but at the end of the day. SP, Stone, and staff stand on business and that business is
BELT TO BUTT!
Nothing more and nothing less!
Why wouldn’t we stay single A. We have only won state 6 times. We have never won it in basketball,
softball, etc. Moving up doesn’t only affect football. It would affect every sport for the entire school. Only an idiot would make a statement like that one.
