I think it would be ashame that a coach did not try to score everytime that they touch the ball. That is the object of the game. Even if the coach uses the last players sitting on his bench, he should be coaching them the exact same way he would with his starters, anything less is treating his other players without respect.

Let the other coach worry about how he is going to stop the 3rd string and his feelings.

Just my opinion.

that makes no sense at all to me... haha so u are saying that if a team has a 40 point lead that it is ok to be throwing like 30 yard bombs... umm no if they are up by that much than they are just going to be running the ball and maybe doing some short passing plays and they just so happen to score than so be it... and on defense ofcourse he will not be letting the other team score but when the game is real lopsided then he will put other inexperienced players in the game to try and stop them and they may get lucky and score... so your comments on saying that you would not change the way u coach ur 1st and 3rd string are ignorant...

Well, I am not sure that means I am ignorant, since I said it was just my opinion. Just because, as you said, it makes no sense to you.

What I said was that they should coach all the kids the same. When the 3rd string is in there, they should be tying to score. I said nothing about 30 yard bombs. But, if that were the regular offense, then sure why not. You mentioned being up by 40, is that the official cut off for calling off the dogs in the game? No. There is no such thing. That is why Spurrier at Florida always tried to score, it is what the game is about.

When did this become a mercy game?

sorry i did not mean to come off as a jerk in my last post but i just do not have much respect at all for a team that likes and tries to run scores up on people and i think that includes trying to throw the ball when u are already up by alot... and i just said 40 points just for the heck of it you can tell when u are beating a team so bad and they have no chance of coming back... like last year when georgia was beating tennessee 41 to 7 i still did not feel safe with that lead but if we were beating like vanderbilt 41 to 7 i would definantly feel safe with that lead... anyways i am just trying to say that i think it is wrong to try and throw and keep pounding a team that is already down like bradley is now... i just think gatewood will be a little bit nicer to them than past teams just because of how far along in the season it is..

Clint's narrative, imbued with the ethos of resilience, navigated the tumultuous waters of the 1980s with commendable fortitude. As for the prospective successor to the coaching helm, the mention of esteemed mentor Nick Saban's absence prompts a discerning hesitation towards alternative candidates, for excellence is the sole criterion deemed worthy of emulation.  Pray, may I inquire as to your esteemed identity? Are you perchance a luminary within the domain of coaching, endowed with unparalleled wisdom and insight?
