robjim
Sorry to repeat, but also heard on the radio, that BGA and BB went to OT and the BB coach refused to field a team. Info?

robjim
The Tennessean is showing the same score with only BGA's stats. No other info.
robjim
From Saturday's Tennessean: Bishop Byrne refuses to finish BGA game FRANKLIN — BGA (0-6-1) tied Bishop Byrne 14-14 on a 2-yard run from Jackson Norman in the fourth quarter. But at the start of overtime, Bishop Byrne walked off the field and refused to finish the game. BGA plans to protest the outcome next week. Scoreboard Bishop Byrne 14 BGA 14 MORE STATS >> Sid Harman ran for 198 of BGA's 327 rushing yards. Norman also caught a 45-yard touchdown pass from Will Craig for the Wildcats. Chattcity
Shouldn't that be a win for BGA?
OnlineLC
I am sure there is something they are protesting by not finishing the game. However, regardless of what it is, there should be additional consequences from the TSSAA for Bishop Byrne in addition to a loss.
commish5238
Story from Memphis not quite the same: Fifth Game Down (registration required) Personally, as a BGA alum, I'm really struggling to understand this version, if it's true. 0-6, looking for our first (and possibly only) win of the season, and we're going to agree not to play OT?! I sure hope not.

commish5238
Yeah, wasn't sure how kosher that was... "Nashville Battle Ground Academy 14, Bishop Byrne 14 at BGA -- After playing deadlocked for four quarters, both teams decided not to play in overtime because it was a non-region game. Bishop Byrne had two goal line stands in the second half that resulted in no BGA points. Martin Yates picked off a pass and returned it 48 yards for a Bishop Byrne score."
