This might be the best week of football the Chattanooga Area has seen all year if not in the last several years. When is the last time Chattanooga has had two teams ranked in the top 7 in the state, in the largest classification going at it? This week will be unbelievalbe. Here are my picks on this week's games.

Notre Dame (4-3) @ Polk County (6-1) - Notre Dame 20_ Polk County 34

Bradley Central (0-7) @ Heritage (0-7) - Bradley Central 7_ Heritage 27

McMinn County (2-5) @ William Blount (0-7) - McMinn County 14_ William Blount 21

Lookout Valley (0-7) @ Boyd Buchanan (7-1) - Lookout Valley 7_ Boyd Buchanan 51

Cleveland (4-3) @ Brainerd (1-6) - Cleveland 31_ Brainerd 6

Rhea County (4-3) @ Chatt. Central (2-5) - Rhea County 20_ Chatt. Central 23

Hixson (3-4) @ East Ridge (4-4) - Hixson 21_ East Ridge 27

Howard (1-6) @ McMinn Central (4-3) - Howard 12_ McMinn Central 35

Walker Valley (4-3) @ Sequayah (2-5) - Walker Valley 21_ Sequayah 7

Sequatchie County (5-2) @ Tyner Academy (6-1) - Sequatchie County 20_ Tyner 35

Baylor (4-2) - McCallie (5-2) @ Finley Stadium Saturday - Baylor 17_ McCallie 28

Game of the Week- Soddy Daisy (7-0) @ Ooltewah (7-0) - Soddy Daisy 21_ Ooltewah 27

I was going to wait till Wednesday night to release my picks for this week, but I just couldn't hold it in any longer. So here they are, tell me what you think about them and give me some of yours. Good Luck to Everyone.

INDEPTHINSIDER...... i always love lookinh at your post b/c you have some of the most realistic scores on here(also gradfromthenest) the only one i am dissappointed about is the Soddy/Ooltewah(but mainly b/c i play at Soddy)... i think the score will be Soddy-27      Ooltewah-17

JoeBoxer and KnoxSoddy - I agree with your points 110%. My reasons for picking Ooltewah is because I believe that they have that edge of speed and I think that their defense has proved game in and out that they can stop teams. I think where yall ( Soddy ) will hurt them is in the passing game if you can pass on them and beat their secondary, then you may well win the game 27 -17. One of the biggest factors that no one is mentioning though is the homefield advantage Ooltewah has, I think it could make a difference. And thanks for the compliment on the posts, and I think that comes from me being a non biased component to this area in high school football.

Since when did noone give Soddy a chance against Rhea County?? I always expected Soddy Daisy to roll over Rhea County. I mean c'mon, a slightly above average 4A team, against one of the best 5A schools in the state! Soddy deserves their respect but I still feel Ooltewah is the better team... Hopefully they will prove that Friday night... if not, i promise to be on here that very night(maybe not, it might not be till saturday or sunday) congratulating you Soddy boys on a great win... but Im doubting that's gonna be necessary

NOT ONE person picked Soddy to win in the paper. NOT ONE.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
