Can anyone tell me what the rules are on wearing a visor at the high school level. I have heard that it is only legal for a clear visor, is this true or can you have color to it. Thanks.

You can only wear a CLEAR VISOR in football. The reason for the rule is so that officials, coaches, and medical trainers can SEE YOUR EYES when you get a hit to the head. They must be able to look at your pupils (eyes) without removing the helmet.

Its all about the look. If you watch the Miami Hurricanes the past few seasons, and Sean Taylor, one of the best SS in college wore one. He was flat out SCARY back there. Its mostly intimidation I think at the high school level.

I totally agree, it is all about the look. Sean Taylor is the man, has played very well for the Skins this season.
