What did folks think?

I thought it was great. It gave our new folks Mat time and most of them left with Victories. It is great to have a JV and some outstanding Athletes out for the team.

The Jeff Co, Karns and Farragut brought large teams.

Some nice results.

JV Freshmen wrestling at Varsity level, 119lb AJ Ferinella lost to Thomas Sherbakoff of Webb by 1 point. Looked great against Kingston 119.

Freshmen Daniel Turner wrestling freshmen level 116lb of Farragut pinned all 3 of his opponents in the 1st round of each match.

At least 3 of our 1st time wrestlers pinned opponents. thumb

Karns 103 Freshman won all his matches.

Karns had the cutest/curvaceous young lady I've every seen wrestle on a HS Mat. She didn't win any Matches but all the young men wanted to go against her. She had her nose busted in the 1st match, 1st round of the tournament but kept on going. Good Job!

Not great.  But it was a preseason takedown tournament.  O'Hern got beat 6-0 in 2 minutes by a kid from South Doyle.  It's hard to tell this early but he didn't look like a state champion.

Was it Adam Smith from South Doyle?

He was 2nd in the Region last year @ 152 to Farragut's State Finalist Turner.

    • I just saw on 5 Star Preps that Chaston Smith is transferring to Chattanooga McCallie. McCallie and Baylor are loading up. Baylor got UT commit Joakim Dodson and Former Alcoa player Kolby Barrett. They also got a bunch of other transfers.
    • Does anyone know of another spring scrimmage or are we done?
    • The lamentable departure of the esteemed coach, orchestrated by certain board members whose intellectual acumen leaves much to be desired, is a matter of grave concern. It is worth noting that these individuals, paradoxically invested in overseeing the educational welfare of others while opting for homeschooling for their own progeny, have effectively precipitated this regrettable outcome. One can only surmise that the repercussions of their actions will reverberate for an extended period, casting a pall over their respective tenures. Such consequences are indeed a cross they shall bear.
    • In my humble assertion, I find it imperative to clarify that my personage was not among those counted. Regrettably, the departure of Coach Blake Satterfield did not augur well for the program's trajectory. It is with a tempered sense of admiration that I regard the individual of fortitude who dares to embrace this challenging mantle, for they shall undoubtedly encounter formidable obstacles in their quest to satisfy the less discerning denizens of Hartsville. May the fates smile upon Blake Satterfield in his forthcoming endeavors.
    • Do you reckon this action demonstrates sound judgment? Whom do you propose as the most fitting candidate to assume the esteemed position of assistant principal at the middle school?
