I saw the match and Meredith pinned Reveiz with a headlock. I know that was early season for both wrestlers but I agree with you that Reveiz will be tough to beat this year as he is much stronger and a better wrestler now.

Shane Reveiz 189 Farragut Region 2 Champion and State quarterfinalist as first year wrestler should be a factor Frankie Morgan Union County 171 finished 5th in State last year and if he moves up to 189 will also be in the hunt.

No Mountain isn't wrestling in college but he is on a full academic scholarship. Mountain was selected by NHSCA as an Academic All American

I believe the 215 Lb from Notre Dame that was 3rd in Division 2 last year is back and I think that Notre Dame is Division One this year. Name was Ian Meredith I believe. I agree 215 might well be the toughest weight class this year with five possible placers returning if in fact they all remain at 215

I agree with your assessment of Chattanooga wrestlers deserving OW awards and I certainly don't want anyone to think that Justin Knox (my son) feels he was in anyway slighted. Justin's goal was to win state,never a mention of OW before or after the tournament I appreciate those who think Justin was worthy of the award but Danny Coleman earned the OW award case closed !!

Congrats to Bradley's new coaches who did an outstanding job, taking over from a legend with one returning state placer (a soph.) Bradley split with Franklin and won the traditional team title against a outstanding Franklin team. I'm not a Bradley parent or supporter but I do appreciate great coaching and tough wrestlers. How about Creagan's ( a Soph.) comeback in the finals,that speaks volumes of what the kid and coaches are made of. Job well done Bradley.

I agree Sean Hage is the most accomplished High School wrestler from GA. based only on High School performance he not only won at Fargo every year but as a Jr. in High School he won Bronze at the Jr.World Championships and as a Sr. Sean won Gold at the Jr.Worlds. He also won NHSCA Sr. nationals and only lost one match in high school wrestling 189lbs all four years, however in college at WV he moved to Heavyweight and never placed. Sean's Father was an alternate on the 1960 Olympic Team. If considering High School and College then Witt Durden I would consider the best High School wrestler from GA. Witt finished 3rd at the NCAA's twice as a Soph.and JR. and in High School finshed 5th and 2nd at Fargo.Both aforementioned wrestlers were also four time High School Champions.

[ My pitch for our coach's is that in their 1st year they produced 7 state Qualifiers, 3 State finalist and 1 state Champ. After a regular season with 6 major injuries to those 7 qualifiers and not winning enough matches to compete for the Regional Dual Championship. This year they have 2 kids ranked #1 and 8 kids going to State. Several coaches would also bump State champs to wrestle other State champs or State placers to wrestle Champs and placers if the tournament was held after individual State. Makes the dual much more exciting.

RC Patriot, I agree with you that Joe and Kerry could have answered in the manner you mentioned but they didn't so life goes on. I don't believe there are any fences to mend at the Farragut program or at least not anymore than any other wrestling team or for that matter any other High School Sports Team.It is unfortunate that one ot two parents I assume use coacht as a forum to to vent their frustrations or concerns rather than addressing them with the coaches who are at practice everyday and very accessible during that time period. I believe Farragut will represent Region 2 very well at the State Tournament as I think your team may as well.

I don't believe any weight class is wrapped up that is why we have a state tournament to see who can win it all. Every year there are unexpected winners and placers. Get to the tournament and forget the past,wrestle one match at a time.

Franklin's Kirn and Clarksville's Weakley should test Merideth. Best in the state Dunning bumping up and TF Jennings is pretty convincing also Oddo from Father Ryan looks tough.

First off Bundy was beaten by the new Baylor kid at NHSCA and did not place. Second Bundy and Manson were in the same bracket at Ohio Tourn. of Champs where Manson won the tournament and Bundy did not place. Yes Bundy had a great State tournament last year but he is not close to the level of Manson or Dunning. A better match to watch woud be Bauke and Bundy.
