well, all this talk about hickman county have any of you seen them scrimmage this year. well i have and they are 14 players who could at any time be a strong player and dont forget that they are 8 seniors on this team that 6 of the 8 seniors have played since they were freshmen and yes there are a few surprises that could occur at any given game and one thing the coaches stress is teamwork and one player cannot do it all alone it takes 5 on the court ......so good luck hickman county your fans are behind all of you no matter which end of the county you are from cause it takes teamwork.... go dawgs

As for returning players waverly as quit a few as well. They also have a pretty good 2 and 3 string, to come in and cover the end of the game. I got to say waverly, has a good team guys. And i got ya back Tigers.

Does Waverly have anyone that can match up with Dotson. I really doubt they do. Hickman County seems to coached very well also. I saw them scrimmage McEwen earlier this month, and the team pretty much Shut down Daniel Puckett, who happens to be another DI signee and one of the Top 10 players in the Mid-State according to the Tennessean today. They played well and as I said before shut Puckett down. So unless Waverly has a better athlete than him, I'd say Hickman Co. has the upper hand. Dotson need I say more. "Labron who...... We have 'The Dotson Show'"

I am sure both teams are eager to play.  I wish i could be there but unfortunatley i cant.  Good Luck to the Dawgs.  Go get them.

The Dotson Show is arguably the best around. Just read all the hype that he is getting. Good Luck Waverly...You'll need it. I project Dotson has 20 and 10 his usual

    • Yes region 1 is extremely weak but a # 5 seed out of region 2 has no business in the playoffs either.
    • They've had some great talent over the years. They usually don't whip no one but can be tough to stop on offence.
    • Could be a lot of reason from what I’ve seen so far.  The lights wouldn’t turn on at Smyrna last night and had to move games to Blackman could be a reason or maybe he is talking about how on some of the games on NFHS network the camera placement was absolutely asinine. ( had a camera set up right in front of a net and couldn’t see crap)
    • If Gordonsville can manage getting through these next 2 games without using him it will be ideal. ER was the last team to not have to pitch their #1 till the state championship i believe. Worked out well for them but they also had one of the best 1A staffs of all time that year. Only allowed one run the whole tournament and it was in the 7th inning.
    • And he’s not even their #1. Lights out performance. Gordonsville is in the drivers seat with their #1 arm available throughout the tournament.
