mocs30
It will be hard. Smith was out most of the week with the flu, so he won't be himself. This game will show how far Powell's guards have come this season. If they can't help Hargis with the pressure, then it will be a lopsided loss. If Addis, Connor and Thrower come to play, Powell should have the advantage with their size. This should be a great game.

mocs30
chill: This game was much closer than the score indicates, it was a six point game with three minutes left and Powell had the ball. As expected, Fulton's pressure was too much. It was not a press, it was intense man to man on Hargis that caused the breakdowns. Fulton's Ray picked Hargis' pocket four times and got three layups out it. Hargis is improving but he is just not careful enough with the basketball. He's still excellent for a sophomore. Also, Ben Ward could not hardly get a basket to fall, it was like there was a lid on it. When Powell got into the half court, they got very good looks all night. The shots just would not drop. Powell was probably a little rusty from the week off. Powell tried a 3-2 zone against Fulton, that resembled a 2-1-2 with Hargis in the middle. The problem is that he was getting down to close to the strong side low post whenn the ball was at the strong side wing, and Fulton was skipping it across to open men, who hit the shots. The game would have probably gone Powell's way had Fulton not shot the ball so well. I was impressed with Fulton, but I have to say that they are very sketchy on the inside. Powell probably won the rebounding edge easily and controlled the paint. They lost the game on the perimeter. Ray is a very nice player and Fulton's two white shooters, #32 and #10 were 5 for 5 on threes. Good game.

High Flyer
Hargis I think has not been his same self since blowing the 13 point lead to Halls.
