VicKing Posted February 17, 2005 Report Share Posted February 17, 2005 I can see both sides of it. They may feel that since they follow the same "basic rules" there is no need to join. Of the $300 (cost to join) $200 goes to pay for catastrophic insurance for players. You only have a very few basketball players apply for this but the insurance covers travel to and from as well as playing the game. Aside from safty and peace of mind, it allows for your best to compete for an area wide championship. It does extend the season, but for only three teams, and then maybe three games for one team, that is if you go to championship game. It does not extend season for everyone.
