These things crack me up because oak ridge has beaten powell twice and is in the district lead and halls has beaten anderson county twice. Yet, both are 1 spot right behind the other teams. Do they really look at who they put here or if you win one and the team ahead loses one, it's an automatic switch?

This poll is never accurate. They should really just stop putting it in the paper because no one thinks it's right anyway. If they want to do it correctly, they should just have rankings by class or let the coaches vote on it (which I don't think coaches care about this ranking) or any other method than they have now.

According to Coacht's strength & Schedule rankings(PrepXtra teams):

1) Fulton 1.38

2) Maryville, McMinn Central 1.34

3) Austin East, CAK 1.31

4) Catholic 1.30

5) Greeneville 1.28

6) Alcoa 1.22

7) Halls, Wartburg 1.19

8) Anderson County, Morristown East, Cosby 1.17

9) Clinton, Oak Ridge, Powell 1.15

10) Rockwood, Bearden 1.14

just curious if you guys think these rankings are better or are these biased and inaccurate too.....they actually look pretty similar with the exception of the single A teams added and Halls.......the single A additions can be accounted for due to their schedule being against smaller competition which boosts their winning percentage, while all 5 double AA schools played multiple AAA opponents........

Only with respect to DIII-AAA, OR is the clear winner of the district, while Halls could do as well as #2, but will likely only be #5, yet the rankings do not reflect that.  Further, I believe Clinton will end up #2 in that district followed by Powell #3, Karns #4, and then Halls #5.  So, how in the heck does Halls place so high.  We may know more about Halls after next Tuesday night.

Then if you believe that refs are not biased, then Campbell County, who placed last in DIII-AAA, lost to Fulton last night at CC by a single point.  Also AE beat Fulton this year.

I sure wish I could be at that Halls/Clinton game. 2nd place is on the line for that one. Halls was very impressive tonight and played some incredibly inspired basketball. Seems as if they've worked on playing defense the past couple weeks. How about playing a 1-3-1 matchup zone all night. Has anyone ever seen that from Halls the past few years? It's always been man on man. Major props to coach Webster of the Devils

One of the single A "additions" to coacht's rankings is CAK. They do have an easy schedule but it's not simply because of the fact that they play "smaller competition." They have a 17-3 record with some quality wins and are a good team. They've also beaten all three of the 1A teams that are on both of the lists. To account for single A team's "boosted winning percentage," how about splitting these rankings up in to classes like I suggested earlier.
