Congratulations to the Lady Tigers and Lady Rebels for big wins tonight! Looks like we meet again for one last District Championship Game! thumb

Both teams barely got by with a win, but most importantly...they did win. Claiborne Co. played the best game I've seen them play all year. They pressed the entire game and never let up. Good job, Lady Bulldogs! Play like that tomorrow and you'll get a win against CD.

Congratulations Pigeon Forge and South Greene. I've been watching District 2 games for a long time and these semi-final games tonight were the best that I've seen in years. I hope tommorrow's games will be just as good.

Sports Guy,

What station will the Claiborne/CD game be broadcast on? I don't think we'll be able to make the game, but we'd like to listen to it. And will it online as well?

Big game tonight at 7:00! The Lady Tigers will have to step it up tonight with two of our starters being sick with mono and recovering from the stomach flu.

Pigeon Forge should win if they will get the ball inside to Dodgen and Ramsey, if that would have happen last night against Claiborne the missing and sick girlswould not be an issue. I have watched PF play many times this year and they have two of the best post players in the league and area, but it seemes they arenot used very wisely. Either one is used or they don't play hard to figure out, yes they have goodguards but at this time of the year you better get it inside to your best playmakers. Set egos and pride asside do not care who makes the all-district teams and just play team basketball and PF should be in the state tourney for th first time. Good luck LADY TIGERS!!!!!!!!

I agree, we have the best post players in the league. Ramsey & Dodgen have played awesome this season, but don't forget about Shanae Rayfield. She is our leading rebounder and has had to play more outside this year due to all our sickness. At this point, I don't think anyone cares much about the all district/tournament....we just want to win and go to Murfreesboro! thumb

Actually, our guards did get the ball to the inside last night...Ramsey had 19 points! But it still helps when everyone is well, so it wouldn't hurt to say a prayer for speedy recovery! ;)

Go Claiborne! Beat Chuckey Doak

Chuckey Doak is the cheapest team I've seen play in the many years that I've watched high school basketball. Go Claiborne! Wear em' out tonight.

Also, Good luck to both SG and PF, big game tonight, and two very improved teams!

Not a Chuckey-Doak fan here but exactly what do you mean they are the cheapest team you have seen play???? I have watched them several times this year and I don't see that in them?

Oops! I saw this too late. I put all of that information over in the boys forum, but forgot that some might look here first.

I broadcast the District Tournament over a network to expand coverage. I am usually on WLMU (Lincoln Memorial University) 91.3 FM and on the internet at http://radio.lmunet.edu. we also provided a feed to WCTU 105.9 FM during District, and plan to do at least some of the Region.

I offered a feed to the Pigeon Forge station, but they said "No Thanks". They were already too busy covering Sevier County High. If you know Bill Burkett, or some girl named "Dolly something", give them a piece of your mind.

If anybody knows of any other stations that would like a feed from Unicoi County, email me and I will try to set it up. It's just a matter of a phone call to WLMU for the other station, once I get the broadcast equipment set up and feed it to WLMU.
