Not really surprised that much. My understanding is they were going play together in college pretty much not matter what. Malcom could have went higher, I feel certain of that. Both are legit D1 player.

They had offers from schools in the MAC, Sun Belt and OVC that were all going to take them as a package deal. I think this is a good fit for them. I think it's unlikely but Malcom could still go higher because the LOI's can't be signed until November...he would just have to go without his bro.

They had some really nice offers for single A kids. The other thing is it's very rare to see two D1 kids, with multiple offers, on the same Single A team. I do believe this....talking about the high school level only, Malcom could play a significant role for any team in the state at any level, including the Memphis powers.....so could Martin to a much lesser degree. These two kids are really good players.

I would love to see both of them play with clarksville northeastern last year. They would helped out Alex last year.

Congrats to both Malcom & Martin! Lipscomb will be a great fit for both. Scott Sanderson has put together a great group of guys who are competitve (won the A-Sun this year), and has proven he can do it with local talent included. Look at what former David Lipscomb high school player Josh Slater has done over there, along with BA's Brian Wright, Brandon Brown, etc... Coach Sanderson should be commended for not bypassing area kids who can play ball. Again, Congrats to both kids!!
