If you want your daughter to be part of an organization that’s main vision is to build teams that will play competitive Fastpitch softball, not only at the state level but at the national level, please come to our tryouts. The Huntsville Sparks team will be having tryouts on Aug 11th and 12th. The organization will give each girl the chance to acquire skills in order get softball scholarships, if they want one. The older teams go to various national showcases tournaments in the fall and the summer. All older teams will play ASA to qualify for ASA Nationals in their respective age groups in the summer. We will be having tryouts on Aug 11th and 12th with more details to follow. The 10Us, 12Us and 14Us will tryout on 11th and the 16U’s and 18U’s on the 12th.       Well I've been at that place many many times and I will tell you there have been some weird things go on for sure. The smell you can smell the sewer plant and the stench is horrible at times. I don't know if it's like that now but there's zero service once you get to that place for your phone or any other devices so it's like you're in no man's land. In 1987 the year we won the state championship we go to Midway and just after the first quarter a mysterious fog rolls in that's so thick you can't see 15 ft in front of yourself. When we watch the video over the following week all you can see was from Our Knees Down we won the ball game of course but it was a very difficult game for a while.Midway was for the most part a difficult place to play.The SOR boys were usually a very tough bunch.I will take the Landers tho,I have heard the Waves will be down this year.

      Last year was a very flukey.  It seemed if it could go wrong it did.  Seemed it rained on us most of the year.

      Besides the good size line, who do we look for to be running and passing the ball this year for the Commandos?  I have heard they had a tough preseason and are pretty young this year.  Sounds like Hendersonville may not have it put together yet but I thought that way last year and Gallatin could not get off on the right foot until midway in the 3rd qtr.  I am predicting a packed house in Gallatin this year!

      My guesses this week  Macon by 13 over Fulton  LA by 20 over Cumberland  Dekalb by 14 over Warren Stone by 6 over York Soddy D by 7 over White
