  1. and the Bratman beat goes on...........
  2. i have always laughed my a s off at those idiots. they arent smart enuf to make W look stupid quick quiz W is a stupid-------? fluffy is a stupid -------? chaney, will soon have one in his family
  3. this is certainly an industrious group, trying to get educated.......not
  4. If I post a PM, does coacht have a position on that? Surely I can post what I said, should I delete what was said to me? But I can post my words, can't I?
  5. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/briefings/ my guess is the press secretary's words will contain what rove was having them stress each day. five points to whomever first discovers when w decided we needed to build a democracy in iraq. This is better than letting a historian write it up......from the presidents own mouthpiece.
  6. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/26/washingt...artner=homepage cant totally blame the politicians since we allow them to game the system to perpetuate their stay in congress (state and local for that matter). Line item veto (accountability) would benefit us average citizen. Approving that is on the agenda right after real campaign finance reform.
  7. not sure what happened to my original post, I guess coacht site timed out. For those that havent grasped the situation. Iraq isnt in the throes of a democracy minded people. They are in the throes of sunni and shia fighting for religious control, power, wealth, and most importantly, that the other side doesnt get those things and start killing them (as payback for 30 years of saddam in the shia case and continuing to do so in the sunni case). The two are currently incompatable (think OJ being unhappily married to Robert Blake, one aint gonna last very long). A loving democracy isn't about to break out. So, whatever stategy we choose, it is really deciding how long we stay there to lose more lives, resources and world political capital (I think we already lost about all of that we had). bush may have had a chance at doing a democracy, if that had ever been his real intent, (which it wasnt), right after mission accomplished......but his actions indicate his agenda was soley to dump saddam. Spreading democracy as a talking point came a year or two too late.
  8. this is easy Correct: I cant stand what bush has done. He broke iraq and now owns the consequences of breaking it. Incorrect: I do know what I would have done in iraq. I wouldn't be there. Incorrect: The correct choice after 9/11 was what we did in Oct 2001, go after the ones responsible for 9/11. You DONT get to imply with impunity and totally incorrectly that saddamm and his iraq had anything to do with 9/11. Go write that on the blackboard 100 times till you get it right.
  9. since this thread is about my apologizing for a mistake I made, I get to make one more comment. one person here, if they had had the integrity at the time, or, if they could find the integrity now, could confirm I thought I was talking to grgldegl, a mom from the volleyball board. this person, sending unwanted PM's to me....mentioned I was baiting gge with a comment I made... (this occurred before my bad occurred)...I said no, the comment in that post (NOT the my bad comment) about gge was an afterthought in that particular post, and that I thought I had ruffled gge in a volleyball board post previously........ I do believe (actually certain) I said the comment I made way back then wasn't a slight but could easily have been construed as such. Wonder if this person will own up to this and at least confirm this PM exchange, either by posting it or stating memory of it???? Any integrity out there among a bubba? The reason I mention it is the way bubbas reacted to it. In this PM to a bubba, I stated I had history with GGE (I thought to be a volleyball mom, not a 20 year old college student). If integrity cant be found, what are the chances I could post the exchange between us to document my position and expose the lack of integrity on this. bubba, will you do the right thing? The decent thing would be to say, yeah, it does appear pattywhack was inferring GGE to be grgldegl so the my bad may have been out of line, but at least it was an honest being out of line mistake, not an out of line out of line faux paus.
  10. the difference is, I recognize this is a two way street, both sides taking shots..............dont think the bubbas see any participation from their end at all..... the be el ze bubba thread wasnt my initial entry into this forum, it was posted nov 18... how many shots been fired in fun and anger by that time? My first post in the open forum was late oct/early november. Seems much longer. be el ze bubbas are the top 10 percent of the right wing fringe, (i think there are just 4 here that qualify for this category) bubbas are the 70-90% range of the gop lib dems = the top 10 percent of the left wing fringe (open to a better name) demoncrats would be the 70-90% of the left wing I dont like pelosi or alcie hastings
  11. i have noticed u bubbas do tend to gang up when you think it is a girl you are picking on kinda disappointed you havent got around to butchering the name by saying patootie said, or paddyinski said, or lets patty whack paddy, or patty...you hearst what i just said, Just thought I'd come by and say Happy Thanksgiving to the little turkeys on this board, (do resist the urge to call me a big turkey....too easy AND predictable).
  12. you should read what they promised but never achieved....what a HOOT http://www.house.gov/house/Contract/CONTRACT.html GGE, they said (actually not said...promised as represented by the contract with america they signed) a lot , did little.....dont get to enamored with either side.... there is still hope for you. here is just one of them Citizen Legislature Act Summary: This resolution provides for consideration of two joint resolutions which propose amendments to the constitution limiting the number of terms members of the Senate and the House of Representatives can serve. The first joint resolution (identical to H.J.Res. 38 as introduced in the 103rd Congress) limits the number of Senate terms to two and the number of House terms to six. The second joint resolution (identical to H.J.Res. 160 as introduced in the 103rd Congress) also limits Senators to two terms, but it limits members of the House to three terms. Under the terms of this resolution, the joint resolution with the text of H.J.Res. 38 will be debated first and the first amendment in order will be a substitute consisting of H.J.Res. 160. evidently they had their fingers crossed when they signed off on this one.....
  13. so no one got the reference, huh. not surprising.... I heard barney growled at w today
  14. Demoncrats, not a bad name, glad I am not one. You create that one or borrow it? Since a draft has no chance of being implemented, I particularly like the touch of not allowing any deferments other than health or CO status. Let the have's and elite and politcian's families share the burden of service with others cheneys other priorities wooodnt of mattered, and he could shoot the enemy rather than his friends. Oh, from joe scarbrough, he reminded me of the contract with America in 1994. One of their big planks was, hey, we will do our business and then leave....no career politcians here, throw us out if we dont voluntarily step aside......i think he said there is still 100 of those LYING bubbas still in congress.......... GGE, if you want to be a bubba, dont let this example be your guide............
  15. GGE, thanks for taking my mistake in a good perspective...... Keep thinking and you may outgrow the bubba stage. Cruel trick of mother nature to let people evolve no further than that stage.
