  1. Several Mid To Low D1 schools are showing interest. Eastern KY the most, ETSU, Old Domimion, Charleston Southern are a few. Rutledge also played without its top post player Matt Cabbage who was out with an ankle injury.
  2. Rutledge realizes that they have to play Hancock again and I promise you that they are not taking the game for granted. They will actually play on Dec. 26 in the Volunteer Classic. They know that you have a good team and that you have heart and are working hard. I assure you that the Pionners also have heart, are working hard, and will be improving. Also it should be evident by now that they are not afraid to play.
  3. Is anyone aware of Hall of Champion games being played in East Tennessee? Please list them if you know of any. Thanks!
  4. Daniel Singleton and Matt Day- Rutledge Tony Brogan- Claiborne Co.
  5. It is a very difficult thing that Gomab is trying to do in ranking the players from across the state. It would be nearly impossible to see them all play and in many cases I'm sure he may only see them play once. It is simply his opinion and we all have those. I respect your opinion on Daniel Singleton, because you have obviously watched a lot of games. I also respect the opinions of College coaches and they are very high on him. I know this for a fact. Does that make him a top 25 player in the state? In my opinion yes. These coaches know what it takes to play at the next level and they seem to believe he has it. I believe that Gomab bases his rankings on the ability to play at the next level as well. I'm not trying to start an argument, just replying to your post. I'm sure the players you mentioned are super players as well.
  6. Gomab, what position do you consider Daniel Singleton to play? He plays PG during the season. He was listed as #21 on your latest Junior list.
  7. Daniel Singleton of Rutledge should be a gimmee also.
  8. Easy Hablo, just asking a question? Not trying to implicate anyone.
  9. Didn't know that they could be playing or scrimmaging at this point in the year. I believe it is against regulations until the week of Nov. 1. Please explain!
  10. Daniel Singleton & Matt Day of Rutledge
  11. Thanks for your reply regarding Daniel Singleton, and I agree with your assessment. I can tell you that he has become very familiar with the weight room in the past couple of months. He needs to become as familiar with the gym as Humpries has and the sky could be the limit for him.
  12. I've watched Singleton play often and Spencer a few times. Spencer is a good player who can score. He doesn't seem to have the quickness or the jumping ability that Singleton possesses. I think that is why you see Singleton rated so highly. This is not to slight Spencer at all, he is a good player.
  13. Daniel Singleton has obviously impressed you as he is ranked #21 on your list. I know he is getting attention from D1 schools. What are your thoughts on his game? Thanks
  14. I have posted this many times before, but Daniel Singleton of Rutledge would have to be on the list of top guards. Maybe not the best, but not far off.
  15. Rebecca is right on the mark with Daniel Singleton of Rutledge. He should be mentioned on any list of the top guards.
  16. What is your thoughts on Rutledges junior guard Daniel Singleton. Rutledge and Volunteer didn't cross paths last year, but they did during his Freshman year a couple of times. He is getting lots of interest from some small D-1 schools. Just wondering what you thoughts were, you seem very knowledgeable about Basketball in this area.
  17. He's been mentioned several times already, but Daniel Singleton of Rutledge is taller and stronger this year. This past summer of playing with the Travelers has done nothing but improve his stock.
  18. I know that they hate to see you go TB, but i am glad we are getting a good elementary coach. Good Luck with the WS opportunity also.
  19. Have the Washburn coaches taken other coaching jobs?
  20. I agree that Humphries is probably the best, but any list would have to include Daniel Singleton of Rutledge also.
  21. Ryan Potter is the big kid with the goatee for Rutledge. He is a nice player and this will be his third year starting for the Pioneers. He averaged about 13ppg last year and will have to do more this year. It makes sense that Hundley wasn't there against Rutledge because I didn't remember another good guard for them. It is very difficult to asess teams during the summer because many teams have kids missing. Rutledge also had two contributors who were out. I wasn't trying to come down on Conner at all he is a very good player.
  22. How did Knox Central fare against Elizabethton. Rutledge beat Central at the Bearden Camp by 8-10 points. Conner is a good player for Central, but they had nobody who could slow down Singleton of Rutledge and Conner tried. Rutledge is lacking in the post this year, but they will have excellent guard play.
