  1. Riverdale, Columbia, Tullahoma will be tough to beat. I believe their region is the toughest in the state!
  2. Check with the sports dept at the Southern Standard Newspaper in McMinnville.
  3. Loss of Rogers really hurts Lot o f young faces gettin valuable time with so many games scheduled
  4. SE brings up a good point. I had thought the NEW district rule had everyone playing on TUE/WED with only a very few exceptions. I do believe the rule favors Oakland, primarily because their Pitching Staff is not as deep or as talented as Riverdale. I hope someone answers SE ?'s, because it could definetely effect this years district race.
  5. Sounds like Matt Brown #30 is a tooting his own horn. Rogers and other could have big years for WC. The Warriors in both Rutherford and white County have some pitchers that could ahave big years along with Price.
  6. Only one more team is needed to complete 4 pools of 4 teams in the 3rd Tennessee Middle School State Tournament.
  7. JW Holt and Brent Whitlock are two outstanding assistant coaches at Warren Co. Both played on the '92 State Championship team and went on to play at the college level. They work very well with their old coach Jimmy Walker. Together these guys will make Warren County a powerhouse in TN HS Baseball in the near future! Like it was before.
  8. I've heard an old hard fireball thrower David Taylor from Parsons is a serious candidate. He coached at Riverdale and now works at Northside. [Edited by mtmudcat18 on 2-20-03 9:39A]
  9. Glenn Rogers from the Nursery City has signed with Motlow State. He's a hard worker and great HS player. Could get drafted!
  10. Well there's about Eleven Freshman at Warren County High School that are "risen up" everyday! Better LOOK OUT! The Huff kid is solid also. What about Chris Southerland? Where is he at?
  11. Principal and AD have said they are in no hurry to fill the position since it will not be vacated till after the schol year. Which I believe is a good idea.
  12. Tourney needs two teams to bring total to 16 (4 pools of 4)!
  13. Coach Reavis will be the new coach at Siegel HS in M'boro for the 2004 season.
  14. No sir, but I heard you and Phillip King wear your hair the same way.
  15. Here are some pretty good sophs not on the list! David Taylor P/3B DeKalb Co. Tyler Herriman SS Warren Co. Landon Boren P Warren Co
  16. I believe Coach Reavis will do a good as job as he has any year that he has been at LaVergne. If a player is deserving he will most definetly help them get to the next level. He has contact with many past and present college coaches: he probably should be one hiself. Who is interviewing or interested in the job at LHS that will be open at the end of the season?
  17. Tournament will follow National Federation of High School Athletics rules.
  18. No Sir, Coach Reavis is not like that. I expect him to have his team more than ready to play.
  19. OHH, I got u now. How amy HR's was that? First, don't count the ones vs. HS's with the last name of Springs. Are u sure u'll be a starting. My sources tell me a freshman could get the nod in CF. He also had a good summer and did not play in the DeKalb Co. Penal Big League.
  20. ADD Shelbyville and David Lipscomb to the list.
  21. Yes Sir! Just trying to find a job, any job. Would really love to get back into HS Baseball, done just bout all could do @ MS level (02 Team was State Champs), but still love it and will have another good team this year. The warrior boy makes a good point bout Siegel and LaVergne, just what I would have told the cornman. Sometimes everyone's field looks a little rough during dead period and late late summer. Give the man a break, he WON THE STATe! AND probabaly will at Siegel one day.
  22. Coach Reavis is going to Siegel. He wil do a good job there. Remember he is the best coach in the State right now ( Wolverines 02 State Champs). Did anyone ever see the facilities at LaVergne before Coach Reavis got there? I did and truly remeber the big ditch behind 3rd base. There is no problems with facilites and no problem with Reavis. LaVergne would be a great job for anyone, it is one of the fastest growin areas in the South. Players coming in everyday.
  23. You wont have to worry bout being on the team. There is a lot more to Baseball than stats that little girls keep. Farr is a solid player, but not one of the top in the mid-state. Has he signed with anyone? The mid-state is a lot bigger than what you might think. I wonder what positon you play and if you are at least one of the top players in Liberty or Dowelltown? Besides Talylor was STARTING as a freshman and Cox as a sophmore. Did Farr? Did you? Probably not. Both will be Four Year Starters and go on and sign a college scholarships. Will Farr? Will you? Once again, Probabaly not. Furthermore, Farr is a solid player in your small town, but not one of the top in the mid-state. Good Luck to you, Farr and the rest of the DeKalb Co. Tigers1
  24. Chase McGee-LF, Seth Kennamer-CF, and Glenn Rogers-RF give Warren County a very solid OF! All have above average Defensive Skills and are pretty good with the Wood also.
