  1. Hey Don, this game will be at Notre Dame, right? Not at Baylor for some bizarre reason?
  2. You left too early, Champs, because at the last moment Don runs on to the field during a ND corner and heads it in for the double digit win. Unforunately for Don he was an ineligible player, and his camera didn't catch the goal.
  3. I think it will be pretty evenly matched, NDs back line has been strong in the games I have seen. I can't imagine it goes too far one way or the other with the familiarity these teams have with each other, and the fact that they all seem to play on the same club teams. I think Cambron strikes early, but Baylor ties it up on a either PK or a sweet shot from 30 out. ND 1 - Baylor 1
  4. Since I am often on the side of confused and confounded, I wanted to make sure to confirm... the game is tonight at 7pm at Baylor, right? Is there also a JV game?
  5. Well I made it to Baylor at 5 for a game and no one was there but the team practicing. Baylor's website says the game was cancelled. Is ND still playing tonight?
  6. I know, it is weird, right? I have seen the soccer fields in the back entrance to get to cross country but didn't know if those were they. I will be there for at least 2 games this weekend. Sounds like a good time to be had for all, except the opponents of the Irish. Hope to meet some of you all there.
  7. Oh I was just kidding, I watch and root for them often, in many sports.
  8. Based on their recent results in football, many would agree with you. Thanks for the info. For all the times I have been on that campus for swimming, football and cross country, I guess I never saw a soccer complex. I will be there with bells on. And other assorted clothing.
  9. Speaking of Baylor and Notre Dame, does anyone have a schedule for the Baylor tournament this weekend? And where do they play? The football field or the fields near the back entrance?
  10. Nope, just dodgeball, women's soccer and jai alai. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" ** edited for horrible spelling and worse sarcasm
  11. Not only the soccer community but a lot of athletes and coaches from UTC were there as well. It was a fun atmosphere to say the least.
  12. 5-0 It could have been more but UTC put up a good fight. Their freshman goalkeeper made some great saves, including on a PK. I don't know how many freshman played for the Mocs, but it seemed like possibly 7 or 8. UT was just bigger, faster and stronger as you would expect. They really should do some good things this year.
  13. Really great turnout for this game. Kylie Rossi is a stud.
  14. Kids these days /sleep.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="-_-" border="0" alt="sleep.gif" /> When I was playing, we practiced 26 hours a day, 8 days per week. But that was a different era.
  15. Can we get tickets there, or do we have to go through UTC? Can we get tickets there, or do we have to go through UTC?
  16. Cool. I had checked there but it still had 2007 listed. I'll keep checking for 2008. Congrats to the girls, it should be a fun season.
  17. Thanks for the information, Don. Have they published the the public who made the teams? Any freshman make varsity this season?
  18. Hey Don, I noticed that ND was having the alumni game this weekend. Is that accurate? I have never been to one and was wondering what is was like. Is it open to the public?
  19. Chas, am I reading ND's schedule right? Do they really only have 4 home games this season? I don't care who you play, being on the road for 75% of the season is brutal.
  20. I don't know about the team camps, but my daughter went to a UTC soccer camp a few weeks ago and said she loved it. That is high praise from a girl who only publicly admits to loving 3 things, all of whom are members of the Jonas Brothers.
  21. Any word on who might be on this team? Are some of the larger privates taking a hit with this new school? The Irish have a nice core returning this year, but what are the chances...?
  22. BlueMom, could you repeat that? Uniforms can't be multi-colored beginning in 2012? What is the reason for that?
  23. That was a great game. ND was on the defensive for most of the first half with only a couple of good scoring chances. I believe Casey Gorman was a couple of inches away from evening the score. The second half, ND really gained some momentum but couldn't convert. This was my first time seeing Baylor and, man, they were fast. It was really a great game, but the best part was seeing the kids interact with each other after the game. Obviously these girls know and have played with and against each other for years and they seem to be great friends as well as rivals. As someone else mentioned, I too am already excited about next year's game.
  24. I have a question or two for those of you in the know (which seems to be about everyone except me). For those who played club or have kids who play club, when did you know it was right for them? The reason I ask is simple. I have an 8 year old daughter who has played since she was 5 and is pretty decent when compared to most of the other girls in the rec league. At what skill level or maturation level do these girls need to be at to consider trying out for a select team? Or more specifically, where do they needto be to be accepted onto a club team? There are a few to choose from in Chattanooga, but I don't know much about any of them. If any of you have any advice for me and don't want to take up the message board space to do it, I will gladly give you my email address. Thanks. Sorry, I know this was slightly off-topic, but this seemed like a natural place to insert the post.
