  1. Not to show any disrespect at all, ruse?, but i disagree with you. 1. Yes the new RB is very good, not arguing with that, but his stats are very misleading. In amounting his 300+ yards rushing, i can almost guarantee you that about 200 to of those yards came in the last regular season game against Stone. 2. Catholic does have good receivers. 11, Spencer Mackle, has great hands and has made some very good receptions. The qb is also good. The decision to throw the ball very little is not their responsibility. But they can perform when called upon. 3. Yes, experience advantage does go to AC. However in the previous KC/AC game the less experienced, younger line won out against the older, more experience AC line. So that factor completely goes out the window. 4. Yes Catholics QB is inexperienced and hasn't played a "real playoff game". Then again, there's not many people on the Catholic team that have. And look how far they've gotten. On the other hand ruse?, you may be right and i could be putting my foot in my mouth completely. Only time will tell. If Catholic wins though, you must take the bagpipe lady out on a date. She prefers waffle house.
  2. Even though Kingston is more deserving (then again, who am i to judge), AE takes this in a close game. AE-17 KHS-14 Not to say AE isn't deserving, but the Kingston team this year is a once in a school history kind of team. They've come a long way and every game they lose has been extremely close Also, (and Turtle, this is just my opinion) AE doesn't show much class. Doesn't mean they don't have a good football team, but they need to win with some class.
  3. No, your wrong. Move on. It was 28-7, and then 28-14. The score was never close except in the first quarter and the first part/half of the second quarter. Oppressed: Low blow man. Low blow. But you proved your point. Let's just hope the bagpipe lady doesn't see you in the parking lot after the game /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. Perfect example, Bill Belichick. Cheated, and obviously you all know the Pats did not win the Super Bowl. Completely irrelevant, but i thought i would help prove his point
  5. It was a good try, but no you are wrong. It was 28-7 in the fourth quarter, and with about three minutes left catholic put in second string and AC scored. The only time the game was close was in the first 13 or 14 minutes. Then catholic pulled away
  6. KC wasn't handed three scores, they earned every one of them. And AC turned it over because of a solid defense by KC.
  7. Station Camp. The upset Sycamore pulled probably won't carry over to round 2. Station Camp has tons of talent. See you in the semis at our place SC
  8. Post your score predictions. I don't think Anderson Co has what it takes to pull off an upset. They are good, but not state championship good. And Catholic is. And with Catholic's running game at its peak right now, and their defense it top condition, it will take everything AC has got to pull of a win. Catholic 35 AC 17
  9. bigsportsnut-How is saying Kingston has lost to Seymour in the past even remotely relevant to this season? 1999? Really? There are NO PLAYERS left from 1999. Obviously. And even in the recent past years, Kingston has just been an average team. Nothing special about them. But this year they've had the season of all seasons. Even though they have three losses they could just as easily be undefeated. And this is in the tougher region. This is no average season for Kingston, so past years have nothing to do with this season. oppressed-So no "Go Knox Catholic"? Well I'll say it for you. Go Catholic. I'll just pretend you forgot to put it there. I'm going with Kingston. Seymour has had an alright season in the weak region. Kingston-28 Seymour-3 By the way, that's an unbiased score prediction. I'm not even a Kingston fan.
  10. AE has more speed, Kingston is more physical. This one is a toss up. AE-84 Kingston-84 The refs get tired and quit after the 27th overtime. And if I'm right about this prediction, someone will owe me money.
  11. I just might. No but in all seriousness, White House doesn't play in a strong region. The fact they have a good record really doesn't mean much. IN MY OPINION.
  12. No way will White house win against a team from region 2 Mcminn Central/Howard vs Knox Catholic David Lipscomb vs Dyersburg
  13. Congratulations to DL. This may be looking too much into the future, but I hope Knox Catholic gets to see DL in the state championship. So keep winning. I want to see that game.
  14. For the season he is 2/3 field goals. Catholic doesn't kick a whole lot of field goals. Not sure why. But then again, who's to argue with a coach who's 8-0 this season and 57-1 in regular season play in the last six seasons? I believe at the combine he had 64 yards a kickoff and 6/10 or 7/10 field goals. Not sure which. This season he's averaging 65.8 yards a kickoff. I know Stansell did extremely well in kickoffs at the combine. Can't remember his average though
  15. You may have given up but Turtle hasn't /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Turtle, how come us Catholic fans give AE good hype but you don't have our backs in the Kingston thread? But even with your treachery I will still pull for AE. You have no idea how much I want it to be Catholic/AE in the third round.... I'd like to see how both teams handle the weather. So far we haven't had any under-the-weather fridays, this should be interesting.
  16. Evan Sanders made the finals also. Was at the same semi finalist camp as Stephen. Stephen won in field goals between the two (I believe he was 10/10) but Evan won in punts (44.3 yards per punt) www.combineseries.com
  17. Shoot your right. I had a "brain fart" right there. Played against him playing on a 3A team so i guess in my mind i thought he was 3A. Ignore the Jefferson Post. Everyone else is 3A
  18. Back-Zach Rogers (Senior, David Lipscomb) stats already posted Jordan Howanitz (Senior, Knox Catholic) Tavarus Jefferson (Junior, Ensworth) Lineman-Daniel Hood (Senior, Knox Catholic) Kicker-Evan Sanders (Senior, Knox Catholic) averages 42.8 yards a punt on 15 punts, 2/3 field goals, 18 kickoffs for touchbacks (65.8 yards per kickoff). Also was TFCA all-state last year as a junior.
  19. Well good luck, I'm pulling for you to get the starting job. That would be pretty awesome to get to start your freshman year, especially as a kicker. And maybe you will see me across the field. Maybe. Would be nice. Still lookin to get that first offer though. Hey with any luck maybe we'll be playin against each other this season. Isn't station camp 3A? Well maybe a semi final or even championship game could be Station Camp/Knox Catholic. Who knows?
  20. I gotta congratulate you on arguing with every single one of my posts. You really seem to have a thing with bashing me with wrong information. I got those stats straight out of prep xtra. They didn't have the stats for the bledsoe game, so i added in those stats and that where i came up with the numbers. And i guarantee you they're right. Argue with the knoxnews guys if you want the numbers changed.
  21. Wow i think someone's a little irritated I said their team wouldn't make it. Not gonna say any names of course. Okay, i could be wrong (believe it or not it has happened before), but if there is a tie in regional records don't they take the team with the highest regular season record? If AE loses both games and Fulton wins both AE 6-4 (4-3) Fulton 5-5 (4-3) AE having the better region/non region combo record, they would be in. FULTON WOULD ALSO BE IN IN THAT SITUATION. And i never said AE was a lock for playoffs. The chances of them not being in the playoffs are very small though. You should probably do some more reading before posting. Ok? I will admit, if your facts are correct, then Fulton does have some size to them. But they are definitely overall not a big football team (this includes backs, secondary, receivers, everybody on the team) and they definitely use speed more than they are physical.
  22. I'm going to say this one more time, and only one more time because once again I'm sick of hearing it. So please. Listen very closely. CATHOLIC DOES NOT RECRUIT See, now that wasn't so hard was it? Maybe coaches have met a player or two outside of school to "discuss" playing football. Maybe. But you can't honestly say that Kingston has not done that with at least one player. Catholic has not offered anyone a scholarship. They are not allowed to. Let's say I'm the coach for Kingston. If a player is looking to move schools, i guarantee you I would at least try to convince him to come here. I would give him the strong points of my school. Is that not recruiting? Technically. But it isn't recruiting in the sense of what colleges do. Any players from out of county that go there at least had an initial interest in Catholic before talking to the coaches. And all the coaches can say is that they would be glad to have this person on the football team. They can't go out and say "Okay, i like this guy from Anderson county. He's really good. Let's get his phone number and try to convince him to switch schools." No. Not by any means.
  23. Good luck there man. Any starting opportunities?
  24. I really don't know how many times this needs to be said. But I'll say it again. CATHOLIC DOES NOT RECRUIT. They cannot give athletic scholarships and they can't ask people to come to their school to play any sport. DI schools aren't allowed to recruit or give scholarships. DII schools can, but thats why DII schools are a majority private schools and only play each other for their state championships. Back to the topic. Catholic wins by at least 2 touchdowns. Both teams are physical, not really speed based much, but Catholic usually plays physical teams better than speed based teams. Example: Catholic only beat AE 21-12, AE being a speed based team, and Baylor 21-20, which they are also a speed based team (they have size too which is a plus) but beat AC, a physical team 28-14 and Mtown West 28-0, also a physical team (not quite as good as AC tho, but you get my point.) Hey Turtle, do you really believe Kingston will win or do you just WANT Kingston to win?
  25. Okay I gotta play devil's advocate here. Stone's advantages: Home field advantage. Stone averages roughly 8 points a game, while livingston averages about 4. Not exactly a battle of the offenses, but Stone still has the upside. Stone has the better kick return team also. Even against the greater-than-Livingston teams of AE, Catholic, Fulton and Kingston, usually Stone has good kick returns. Stone has never had an 0-10 season, so they will be ready to play. Livingston's advantages-I'm bringin out the stats again for this one. Defense could win the game for LA. Stone gives up an average 44 points a game, while LA gives up 28. Stone starts a large percentage of Freshman and sophomores, while LA starts a large percentage of Juniors and Seniors. Experience plays a huge roll in football. My prediction might change, but as of right now I'm going with- Stone-7 LA-3 Not gonna be a high scoring game. But then again a win is a win.
