Jeremy is there. Ready to go. Gordonsville will be tough but I think FCS will have a good season. Lots of young talent.

Well, here's the facts as I see them: 1. Hampton has a great team and should be proud of their boys and their fans...what a great crowd from Hampton. 2. FCS plays in a very tough region which makes us a better team with every game. That is an advantage for us. We do have a good team. 3. Public/private---there is a thread for that. 4. As for the illegal or not illegal hit, I couldn't see. However, I truly hope he is ok and I know that if that were my son lying there and the other team went on with the show (even though I think it was accidental), I would have been mad too. 5. Emotions run high in these games. I'm sure fans from both teams have done and said some classless things. 6. I read some of the FCS fan posts here last night and was embarrassed for them. They really were acting like jerks. We aren't all jerks. 7. Go Friendship...bring home the gold ball! 8. Hope everyone from Hampton is home safe and sound.

Yeah, I was urprised at all that crampin. Everytime somebody went down, I thought they were hurt. Everybody gonna play far as you know cept Markham? Know there were a few injuries.

Private school/public school...yada..yada...yada. Who cares?! You go to school where you want and we will go where we want. If I'm not mistaken we were talking about the game, and pretty civilly too I might add until you came along.

Well, you may as well join the club.....FCS never gets their due either. Seems no one does. There is always some reason why the losing team lost other than....they just got beat. Looking forward to a good game. Hope you Hampton folks drive safely.

Who's the favorite in the Mt. Pleasant/Jackson Christian game (I think that's right)? And what are the odds against them for whoever comes out alive in the Hampton/FCS game?

Some people love to talk smack, but no one is counting anybody out. Hampton wouldn't being heading our way if they didn't have what it takes. Our boys know they don't have anything in the bag. They will practice like it's all on the line (because it is!) and I'm sure your boys will too. At this time of year, it can ALWAYS go either way.

Point taken. That started a couple of years ago and I don't like it either. For one thing it is not fair to those students who actually go to the school but maybe don't get to play. Anyway, there are many public/private issues and some are valid and some not. The thing that bugs me is that our boys don't always get credit where credit is due. Regardless of the situation, our boys go out to practice every day and work hard just like evrybody else. Our boys can be good boys, hard workers, rich or middle class, deer hunters, fishermen, have a lot of heart, etc, just like all the others. I'm sure we have a few that don't fit that bill, but doesn't everyone? the Can we agree on that? Have a great week and a safe trip to Possumtown. Hope no one gets hurt and everyone can just get along.

Ok, Ok, now I have complete respect for the Hampton team and expect a great game Friday night. I hope everyone feels right at home and has a safe trip to and from the game. HOWEVER....this public/private stuff makes my head hurt. Just FYI most of our players have attended FCS since elementary school. We have a few that transferred in junior high and maybe one that transferred in high school. We have no players from Nashville. How can you recruit kids in elementary school? Come on...let's just talk football. Everyone wants to pound on us just because we are private. Our boys are just high school boys who work hard and want to go all the way, just like the rest. One more thing.....most of our boys are also just good ole country boys.

I'd love to hear some Trousdale opinions on next weeks FCS/Temple game. Also, what do the brackets look like after that?
