Jeremy is there. Ready to go. Gordonsville will be tough but I think FCS will have a good season. Lots of young talent.

Well, here's the facts as I see them: 1. Hampton has a great team and should be proud of their boys and their fans...what a great crowd from Hampton. 2. FCS plays in a very tough region which makes us a better team with every game. That is an advantage for us. We do have a good team. 3. Public/private---there is a thread for that. 4. As for the illegal or not illegal hit, I couldn't see. However, I truly hope he is ok and I know that if that were my son lying there and the other team went on with the show (even though I think it was accidental), I would have been mad too. 5. Emotions run high in these games. I'm sure fans from both teams have done and said some classless things. 6. I read some of the FCS fan posts here last night and was embarrassed for them. They really were acting like jerks. We aren't all jerks. 7. Go Friendship...bring home the gold ball! 8. Hope everyone from Hampton is home safe and sound.

Yeah, I was urprised at all that crampin. Everytime somebody went down, I thought they were hurt. Everybody gonna play far as you know cept Markham? Know there were a few injuries.

Private school/public school...yada..yada...yada. Who cares?! You go to school where you want and we will go where we want. If I'm not mistaken we were talking about the game, and pretty civilly too I might add until you came along.

Some people love to talk smack, but no one is counting anybody out. Hampton wouldn't being heading our way if they didn't have what it takes. Our boys know they don't have anything in the bag. They will practice like it's all on the line (because it is!) and I'm sure your boys will too. At this time of year, it can ALWAYS go either way.

Point taken. That started a couple of years ago and I don't like it either. For one thing it is not fair to those students who actually go to the school but maybe don't get to play. Anyway, there are many public/private issues and some are valid and some not. The thing that bugs me is that our boys don't always get credit where credit is due. Regardless of the situation, our boys go out to practice every day and work hard just like evrybody else. Our boys can be good boys, hard workers, rich or middle class, deer hunters, fishermen, have a lot of heart, etc, just like all the others. I'm sure we have a few that don't fit that bill, but doesn't everyone? the Can we agree on that? Have a great week and a safe trip to Possumtown. Hope no one gets hurt and everyone can just get along.

Ok, Ok, now I have complete respect for the Hampton team and expect a great game Friday night. I hope everyone feels right at home and has a safe trip to and from the game. HOWEVER....this public/private stuff makes my head hurt. Just FYI most of our players have attended FCS since elementary school. We have a few that transferred in junior high and maybe one that transferred in high school. We have no players from Nashville. How can you recruit kids in elementary school? Come on...let's just talk football. Everyone wants to pound on us just because we are private. Our boys are just high school boys who work hard and want to go all the way, just like the rest. One more thing.....most of our boys are also just good ole country boys.

I'd love to hear some Trousdale opinions on next weeks FCS/Temple game. Also, what do the brackets look like after that?

FCS fan here! My stomach is till churning! I had to go back and watch the tape because I had my face covered most of the game. Thought you had us. As I did watch the game on tape, I have to say that I saw a lot of class from both teams. Those boys were helping each other up etc. That's awesome! I also saw some boys consoling others after the game. Gordonsville did a heck of a job! Congrats on a great season. I have new found respect for your team(not that I didn't already have respect, because I have been a nervous wreck all week!) They all played a great game. I'm glad we pulled it out, but man I felt for your boys after the game.

You're right. Some of our fans, students, players, etc probably do have that mentality. It just doesn't seem fair for the rest of us (especially the kids on the team who do not have a silver spoon or a holier than though attitude) to have to be lumped into the same category. I guess that is just how it goes. I for one want to beat Gordonsville in a BAD way, but not because I hate their players, fans, etc or think they are no good or whatever else people say on here. I want to win because I love my team and I want to see them go all the way.

I try very hard to just read and not post but I have to say something here. I know it will probably get twisted around somehow so I shouldn't bother. First of all, not everyone at FCS is rich. Not everyone is arrogant. I know we have a few but doesn't everybody? I just hate it for our kids that because of people's perception of our school, most everyone is totally against us. They are high school boys who work hard at practice and want to win just like the next team. Yes, they go to a private school and SOME of their parents may be rich, but what does that really have to do with the game of football? Give our kids a break. If we win..great, if we lose...that stinks. It could go either way, but some of us would just like others out there to know that regardless of what people think of our fans, coaches, facilities, whatever.....these are a bunch of kids who love the game and they are really no different from any other team as far as that goes. Just food for thought....let's just let the boys play, give our opinions about the GAME and leave everything else out of it.

Let's keep it real. We all know that either team could win Friday night. I don't think FCS fans or G'ville fans can feel too certain about the outcome. FCS did lose a big lineman and he is out for the next few weeks. They have others who can play that position just fine. Let's hope there is not a repeat of such injuries for either team. I would like to know though, how long did G'ville's first team play aginst SP and what was the score in the SP/Grace game?

There's still a lot of football to be played and anything can happen, but everybody has a favorite. Who wins state in class 1A? My opinion......it comes down to another Trousdale/FCS showdown. Winner.......wins state. However, I am not underestimating anybody. May the best team win!

I'm by no means a Gordonsville fan, but they do deserve a little respect. They play a tough region and played well. They made it to the playoffs will undoubtly bring it to the field. Not sure who I am rooting for cause I'm not sure who I'd rather meet in the second round, but come on.......great season G'ville.

What are the current standings in all regions of Class 1A? I know region 4 looks like 1) FCS 2) Gordonsville 3) probably Watertown 4) Trousdale Is there a place to find playoff brackets?
