quality 6th man... i dont know if he shoots any jumpers other than 3's but but he couldn't hit one thursday ngiht with a defenders hand in his face.

The sycamore-chs game last night was fairly interesting. chs came out in the first quarter with aggressive d and took it from sycamore nearly every time down the court. most of clarksville's points came from layups as they were far quicker than sycamore. later in the game sycamore settled down and ran a nice offense. chs was letting sycamore drive to the basket and kick out. chs ddint shoot the ball well at all which let the eagles get back in the game. it was tight in the end with #35 hitting clutch 3's but he missed one as time expired to send the game to overtime. chs won 56-53 but it was a sloppy game. i just want to know what happened to dustin watts??? mr basketball didnt show up to play it seemed, must have been all the hype. i dont remember the last time when a 6th or 7th man won mr basketball, especially when they didnt score any points in a game.

he has already signed with murray state.

Cheatham blew the game against station camp as they lost a 14 point lead shortly after half time and didn't execute at all in the last 5 minutes of the game, but i can assure you that wont happen again.

TnBball, corect me if im wrong, but for the past 2 years, this being the 3rd, everyone has hyped up northwest for being one of the top 2 or 3 teams in clarksville, and every year they do poorly. Then everyone says its not the players fault but the coaches fault. Now since they supposably have the best athletes as well as the best players in clarksville, wouldnt you think they would get past the 1st round of the DISTRICT TOURNEY even if they did have a pitiful coach? let me know what you think....

Who is Dustin Watts and how is he the front runner for aa mr basketball when Corey Brewer and Tyler Smith play in aa?

well what the crap is going on???? coach clark hasnt responded to any emails and i havent been able to get him on his cell!

coach reed this is alex, i wasnt able to make it to the tourney this weekend and i havent heard any info but how did the magic do?

there was a sports channel that had some stuff on him i believe it may have been espn.

I think this is a terrible way to get players to be more aggressive and take charges but i dont think its that big of a deal. Plus the coach avg. over 20 wins a season for 17 strait years, jeez, he wont be available long.

Does anyone else have stats from around the city? Also Tnbball i know your familair with the players on the 17/u clarksville magic aau team and i was wandering if you could list the players for this upcoming season and their stats that you know of because i know this summers team will be on of the best in the state and should go along way. GO MAGIC.

looking back on the season, what were the stats from some of the top players in the city. Alex Bowers from CA avg. 15.2 ppg, 6 rpg, and 4.6 assists. Any more from players around the city would be nice to check out.

hey realgoeagles, this is not the only time someone from our district has done anyhting. IN the 98-99 season clarksville academy lost in sub state by 1 to the eventual state champs and mr basketball on a hanus call. Check the facts next time.

i think mcewen will have a better shot at the region championship because of ther overlal size. NCS guards are fairly small and will not match up well with ezell. If ezell uses thier size and quickness on ncs they will win no problem but if ncs shoots well it could be over by the 4th. Mcewen will be dca because the simply want it more than anyone else. well sugar would you rather be 13-14, possibly better, and making it to regionals or be 1-27? iD say thats a heck of a turn around no matter which way you look at it!

as far as dominating the region i dont thinkeither district has a clean shot but it can be done. I have played agaisnt mcewen and ncs and fra and cpa. I have not seen dca or ezell play this yr but mcewen and ncs could beat fra or cpa without a doubt in my mind.

Johny jackson has to be on the list somewhere!!!! Cheatham county was 1-27 last year and are 13-12 this season i believe which includes the season sweep of waverly and beating a rossview team early in the season.

Nashville christain beat clarksville academy thursday night. Both teams played well i thought but the referees were terrible. Didnt give the advantage to either side, just terrible. Are there any more updates or scores from around this district?

I totally agree. Im not a very big guy and i play guard and the past week i have seen gaurds being leveled by posts coming out and screening and the man not calling out a screen! It doesnt happen that much in high school but in college and nba the guards suffer fractured jaw bones and concussions. I remember yao ming laying one of those on paul pierce the other night! Do the little things and the big things take care of them selves!

Sycamore has god coaching and an outstanding team. Cheatham has great coaching but they do not match up well at all with sycamore. I think cheatham will be close but lose by 8 or so but i would like to see them win. Looking past the tourney this year, who has the best chance of winning the district next yr, and how open will it be?

jeez crossup, calm down, thomas is a really good player but these are player awards, not team awards. I know that kevin and will have played better than haynes more times than not this season and if will and kevin hadnt played how they did this year northwest wouldnt be where they are. Thomas is a good player and had a good season but i dont feel like he broke out of the citys elite pack this year the way so many of us predicted at the beggining of the season and yes i have my own opinion.

Thank you for the corrections and i know thomas is very good but i was just basing that on the opinions that many people thought this would be his break out season as far as getting offers from top colleges and really showing that he is one of the citys undesputed best and i think alot of people feel he hasnt done that even though he has had a solid season.

I know the regular season is finished and i just wanted some opinions on which players deserved certain awards. I dont get a chance to watch many other local games because i play on the same nights but i read the stats and i can give it a shot. MVP- In this case meaning most valuable to his team: Calvin Carter and Tario frederick for the simple fact they carry thier respected teams. Best player- Antwan Harris: Has been unstoppable for most of the season. Biggest Overachiever- Drake Reed: Everyone expected him to play good, but hes played great. Underachiever- Thomas Haynes, Quinn bradley, and alex bowers. Haynes has alot of help as well does bradley but many expected all 3 to play better than what they did.
