  1. a friend of mine at stone said their coach quit on them and they didnt practice the 4 days prior to that game. im not sure if thats true or not, but im with you, i was shocked to see a result that high.
  2. i have no idea why you say it was a 'good thing' for us at cumberland county. why in the world wouldnt we want to play the last 31 minutes only down 2? who cares if we woulda lost 2-0, 4-0, or 10-0? a loss is a loss. a win is a win. i guarantee you every player on our team would have liked to play it until the end. 2-0 is the result though and thats that.
  3. oh yea..i didnt realize that. oh well then.
  4. i just feel bad for bledsoe here. they are a second year team..still co-ed i believe. i dont think they are quite ready to be scheduling notre dame. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  5. they play hard and theyre well coached, but i dont think theyll be anything special playing teams from the knoxville area for sure.

  8. brandon tarr is off to south carolina, right? read it in the newspaper yesterday. I had to play goalie in a game against him last year..think he got 2 in on me but now at least I can always say I had a save against a d-1 athlete. ha. he is quite a player..
  9. red boiling springs holds the active consecutive loss title at 56. cchs is stuck somewhere around the 21 zone. so we are many disappointing seasons away from such a title. so, alas, we can't even count that as a positive.
  10. lenoir was up on cchs 2-0 at the half and poured 4 more in in the 2nd to make it 6-0.
  11. i would like to take this moment to make a point of how karns (just down the road from farragut, i believe) treated my school (cumberland county) when we went up for a game a week or so ago. from the time we got off the bus, it was obvious that they were the far superior team, and could quite possibly give us a very big beating. as the game played itself out, we rarely had a chance on goal and karns controlled the ball most of the half. their coach instructed them to go to two touches after only a 2-0 lead was taken. they took out their better players and played others who presumably got less playing time, in the second half and earned a 3-0 result. i'm not going to say whether beating us by 3 on a day when it could have been much more is a good thing or not, but i can say losing by 3 goals instead of 6 or whatever it could have been was greatly appreciated by myself and my team. obviously this situation can't really be compared to the other, as many factors differ i know, i'm just saying, it was real cool. karns...they're alright by me...
