  1. I do think Seymour has the horses. I also think that two games have been lost by reasons partially outside the players control. It kills me to see this talented group of boys flounder after they have worked so hard in the weight room during the offseason. These boys have been dedicated. It also has helped that we had a great player "move" from Carter.
  2. What are your thoughts on the season so far? Has this team underachieved and if so, why? I know they have a ton of talent and great kids. I want them to do well, and Im curious on everyone's thoughts as to why it has been a struggle to this point.
  3. I know Householder is retiring at the end of the year and Moore is taking his spot. Who is going to take Cotter's spot if he leaves after this year too?
  4. Back to the actual topic, the Carter -Rutledge game sounds like it was a great one. I wish I could have seen it. Did McBee run all over Carter? I'm just wondering how they scored so much.
  5. I am pretty sure that people are not going to move up in classifications for the playoffs. That would be one of the dumbest moves that a team could make. If that is really Heather, I love you on the sports animal.
  6. Speaking of rebuilding. Does anyone from Greenback remember Coach Smelcer? My kid played the team that he is an assistant for, and I justwanted to know some of your thoughts on him. I know he has been gone from there for a couple years. Why did he leave, and what was he like when he was there?
  7. I am looking forward to seeing the outcome of this one. With two completely different styles, it would be a fun game to see. I see CG making some big plays, but I see GP powering over them in a close game. I may be wrong, but I think GP wins by 6.
  8. Can we stay on the subject? How do you think Catholic's Defense stands up to some of the middle and west teams? They seem pretty talented.
  9. Wow, I am glad we got that out of the way. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Can we now talk about the actual game? I think this will be a close one. Carter has talent and speed, and Seymour has had a good start. I think it will come down to discipline. Who has less penalties and who can keep their cool. I think it will be Seymour by two field goals.
  10. I don't think coaching will be the difference. Both schools have great coaching staffs. This should be a close game, but I think this is the year Seymour wins. They are on quite a roll, but I do look forward to an exciting game!!!!
  11. Thank you. I am happy to see another "seymoron" on this.
  12. Is this game at Seymour or at Alcoa?
  13. Back to the actual issue: FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!! Does Carter have anyone banged up for this game or are they pretty healthy? If they are healthy, I think they should handle PF.
  14. Thank you for the info on why 10th graders were playing on the freshmen team. That's all I was looking for. I think everyone has had enough of the toehole comments.
  15. #1 is a senior DE and TE. Great kid very hard worker #38 is a junior RB and I think LB. He is lightning quick and a great athlete. #47 is a junior DE and RB. If you've seen him play, then I can't explain it any better than what you've seen. He is an unbelievable athlete. #44 is a sophomore TE and LB. This kid is going to be a stud by the time he's a senior. I am very proud of him. Great kid! I don't know about offers, but I would be curious also if anyone knows of any interest toward anyone from Seymour.
