  1. Macon County is a very dangerous team, having beaten LA once this season and i think they took Upperman to OT before falling.
  2. Dekalb better be using the extra practice time to work on some foul shooting or they may not be able to put it away if they get ahead.
  3. SC beat Dekalb by 23 last time...and it took 26 points from their star player and an awesome fourth for it to even reach that margin. If Sc wins it will be by 4 or less and maybe in OT. Same for Dekalb.
  4. Really DC kept it a 10-12 point game for most of the night. Then Coach Martin started filtering out his starters and TOs got the game out of hand. Dc is playing very well now an i think they can pull off a W in SC.
  5. Owls are hot right now, i think they take this one by 12.
  6. Yeah back to topic, i watched Delk last year and she is a force. I have also seen Ferris and she is very good. It's sad that she got snubbed in the mvp voting for her district for being a freshman. Im sure being a finalist for the best basketball player in the state is much better though. That makes District mvp look like a joke i guess. I havent seen the third finalist but seems like she has a very good chance of winning also.
  7. SC will beat Smith County in the regionals, but after that 7-AA gets this tourney. No disrespect to 8-AA, they have really good ball teams, but Upperman, LA and Macon are just too strong. Macon has a decent chance to be upset, but i dont see UHS or LA being beaten by anyone except each other.
  8. Rogers is going to have his team ready for this one. C-Range by about 17.
  9. I dunno you tell me? Seems like LA got handed some awards this year. Yes they had the two first place teams when it came down to it but it isnt all about points. Compton beat her up and down the floor every possesion and got the ball to her teammates as best she could(credit to La's D) but in what you just said you proved my point. Matthews is the point guard. Not the 2 guard. She seemed to shoot too much when she had open players closer to the basket. In the games ive watched, the entire team gets more active and involved when the Taylor girl is running the offense. When Matthews is in the team just stands around and gets the rebounds from her misses.
  10. Good game commanders. Dont really know what g-ville was tryin to accomplish with playing a zone against the best shooting team in the district. Also it seemed like the tigers were gonna try to run eith them and actually outshoot them, which is a joke.
  11. Compton also outplayed the district mvp ASHLEY MATTHEWS also. Whether Kayci got it or not, the mvp for this district was the wrong choice. If Matthews is that good, she would be a miss basketball finalist and not Kayci.
  12. I dont really know about the other teams but Gordonsville will win this game going away. Ive watched Monterey 3 times this year and the only major threat is the heady girl(correct me if the name is wrong) Yes, she is good, but the g-ville guards will be to quick for M to match up with. G-56,M-41.
  13. Whoever gets matched up with C-Range may have a chance to pull a couple of upsets. Dunno FC's coach's name and dunno how good of a coach he really is but he seems to have a good offense running for his team to be able to do what they do best: shoot the three. They can light it up.
  14. What does this game look like? SC's star player, who hung 26 on us last game, is hurt and DC is playing really well. I think ill take DC by three in OT.
  15. I think its gonna be like the girls game last night...g-ville may fall behind but they will keep their composure, and Dillard and Harris will take over late. Tigers get this one 65-60
  16. Well if not her then who? I didnt see anybody else that impressed me, least of all Matthews. I said she was the only mvp worthy player on the team, not my pick for mvp.
  17. DC is going to have to winthis game and hope that they can play with station camp. Although i wouldnt put WH on such a high pedestal...Smith county AND Upperman has played close games with them this season so they arent as dominant as they are made out to be.
  18. Thats kinda funny, aside from the top two teams in 8-AA, 7-AA has the strongest district from top to bottom. There will be no sweep this year all you 8-AA fans. It's just time to place the brooms back in the closet and put some helmets on cuz regionals are gonna be war.
  19. Either way you look at it, Sylvia Thomas is the best player in the district, no comparison. Im not here to argue. G-Ville got robbed and the truth will be showed tonight when she lights Westmoreland up.
  20. Does anyone know who got these awards?
  21. He's had three bad nights against DC...the team holding next year's mvp DeAndre Bass. This isnt a coincidence. Im not dissing LA on any way but i have yet to be impressed with either of the mvps from the girls or boys side. Stover is more of a problems for the boys and it seems that Ashley Matthews has trouble getting up and down the floor and was clearly outplayed by Holly Compton of Macon county and by most of the Upperman guards in general. Mallie Stephens is about the only mvp caliber player on the team. They are good...but this is just how i see it.
