The bees just lost to the #6 seed on their home floor(credit to the owls). Thats twice that they have lost to th Owls at home. DC played LA to the last possesion and they will beat the Bees in this one, 48-39.

Smith County is hot right now. And it looks like they've finally woken up and decided to run. Because thats what they did to Upperman, they ran them off the floor in the last one and a half quarters. Smith county would have won more district games had they not slowed the game down. When you have a 6'2" center, you cant afford to slow the game down, you have to let him beat the other bigger slower players up and down the floor.

Doesnt sound like too much of an mvp then... Smith county will pull it off by 8...

Should be an easy win for Smith County. The coach always has his girls ready for tournament time and this year will be no different.

Im sure Compton got more than a few MVP votes. She is the leader of that team and makes things happen.

Guess i was wrong about the 12 point W for the owls. It was a hard fought game on both sides. I would like to commend the Smith County fans on their effort. They were completly surrounded and were actually louder than the Cannon fans at some points of the game. But anyway, looks like Cannon is going in the right direction.

Good game owls...i just dont know why they dont get out and run more. They are easily the fastest team in the district but they dont use it to their advantage. The could have run cannon out of the gym...

7-AAA has the better teams from top to bottom...but Upperman and LA could probably beat any team in that district on a neutral floor...dunno bout places like AT Riverdale though...that might be tough...lol

Well the award has been given and im sure both of the girls deserved it. Kayci got the votes and thats how the dice fell...and i think its pretty disrespectful for people to say that she doesnt deserve some awards because of her height. Thats a foolish thing to say. She's an awesome athlete and will be one of the best to play in 7-AA, ever. Height should be the last thing people judge her for...i think she has already realized she is tall, people need to congratulate her on her accomplishments and make her feel like an actual human being instead of just "that tall girl." Good luck with your basketball career and life Kayci.

Congrats to Kayci on her awards...im sure the other teams in the district will be worrying about being matched up with Smith because the rest of the freshmen on this team have played a whole regular season now and are hopefully ready for tournament time. Again, congrats Kayci...ill be following your career through high school and hopefully in a nice ORANGE uniform at the next level.

I think Smith will want revenge for the last loss to the lions and come into this game hot. owls by 12...

Jackson County and Pickett County have what it takes to get there...

I think they have what it takes to win state...they have the defensive grit and the star power in Wade and Allen. They have two solid starting posts and another on the bench. I think this team can make it there easliy...they just cant choke!

We cant overlook the dragons...they have three really good players and i think they can beat anyone when they get hot. I think it may go to OT again...

It was almost a repeat of the first game but cannon kept their composure this time.

Cannon looked impressive...all you high seeds better look out!
