Congrats Lady Cats. No doubt about it, they didn't play well last night. That's okay. It takes a wake up call loss going into the districts to get motivated again. Cats don't typically peak until tournament time so everyone else better look out!

It's a little hard to read and follow this thread. From what I can see, we have a few jealous folks commenting about decisions parents made for what they felt were in the best interest of their children. LEGAL decisions. When all is said and done, at the end of the day, Central brought home the gold ball. Final. Period. End of report. Hassell is Miss Basketball. Period. When you have a good reputation, a good program, a good coach and a good school, you do not have to recruit. The kids come to you. Shelbyville is respected by all, but that doesn't mean anyone is "scared." And Shelbyville certainly has a history of being a powerhouse. But will the tradition continue without Insell? Last year was basically his team at State. Maybe 9AAA will catch up with the number of gold balls faster than you think. But then you have Riverdale to help keep the gold ball in your district. Huh?

The topic here is "9AAA, Best in the Midstate" and we are all sorry to say that no 9AAA team is going to the 'Boro. We can bash the Brandons, Coach Fryer, and maybe others, but it won't change the fact that some of middle Tennessee's top talent just won't be going to State. I don't know about you all, but I am going thru major depression and withdrawals. Next year is a new year. MJ will be loaded, Wilson Central will have its challenges (but the Brandons have always come through), Lavergne is seen as the up and coming team, and the other 9AAA teams will be chomping at everyone's hightops. Making it to the elite eight is largely talent, but also a lot of luck. Any given game a good team can be off and that one loss knocks them out of contingency. We can look back fondly with great 06-07 memories and look forward to the 07-08 season. It's been a great year. Good luck to the remaining 8 teams. We all wish it was us there and not you.

Okay, WC fans, tell the truth. How many felt you might be the "idiot fan" about to "stroke out" when you read this comment? Opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one, /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> but personally, I thought the officiating was consistently poor throughout the game, but extremely bad the last 2 minutes. They tried their hardest to keep NE in the game. That being said, NE has an extremely good team, one that has been overlooked this season. Go Lady Wildcats!

NE pulled off a big upset against MJ. MJ fans sat stunned. WC fans stayed to watch and they left stunned. No one, other than NE, saw this one coming. MJ led most of the game, until when it counted, at the final buzzer. Thoughts? How will WC match up to NE?

Good point, Mailman. Possibly WC could see these negative posts as compliments. The big wins have only drawn more attention to the Lady Wildcats and folks want to pick apart and cause dissention within good teams. Regarding AAU, anyone's AAU team choice is just that, their choice. Be real! How many girls play their entire AAU career with the same team? This thread started out MJ vs. WC, "not let's gossip about the Christophers." Go Lady Cats!
