I watched a couple of minutes of film on WV. They just remind me of a team full of girls that don't have anything else to do and they go to the gym and practice shooting all the time. I heard that they take over half their shot from the 3 point line.. better get out on 'em Lady Blaze!! Go Lady Blaze!!!!

I agree PHargis.. Despite all that RHS have been thru Haislip handles it like a pro. Being a junior.. Wow she is going places. I love watching her play.. She is a baller. Good luck to the Lady Warriors next year. but for now.. I hope the Blaze keep truckin' and dominate on Saturday. How good is Walker Valley? I watched a little film on them..but not a lot.

Riverdale ranked #2.. Wow. 7AAA is a tough district, bet you didn't expect Blackman to beat Riverdale.

Blackman vs. Riverdale 2 overtimes.. It was crazy. Matt Allison hit a 3 that was beautiful. Both teams had some key players in foul trouble and eventually fouled out.. JD White (BHS) Taylor Thigpen (RHS) Julian Barker (BHS) and some others I don't remember. Blackman was really lacking a big guy. Hopefully Dajuan Brown will heal up and come in and dominate. I think the final was Riverdale by like 6 or 8. This game was very intense to watch and some great hustle by both teams. Oh, if the Blaze could hit a free throw.. They would have definitely won.

Blaze played awesome.. I have never seen them in their past 4 years play like they did tonight. Fans, coaches, and players were so impressed. Shelby Campbell is a rising star. She is a point guard, and I'm not sure there is another one in the district that can come close to her. Tiera Norris and Kelsey Nowlin are just sophomores and are showing up like they own the place. Blackman is going to do big things this your. Way to go Blaze!!!! (They even go their student section to stand up..Which isn't normal for a girl's game)

Blackman doesn't have ANY excuses winning THAT bad. The guys are smart players and they can play when they want to, so losing by that many points there are not excuses. David Barnes would not have made much of a difference. At the Smyrna game he would have, but not against the McGh... whatever team. Heck they won without him already! But he is a great player don't get me wrong there.

Once girls hit about 6 foot they seem to slow down and there jump is none like the girls from the 5'8-5'11 range. i have to agree with you on that one! i've always noticed that being more injury prone is true also. maybe growing too fast? i'm not sure.

Appendix.

Blackman boys didn't do too hot against Smyrna today. Their head coach wasn't there, due to surgery, so that could have some to do with it.

Best friend or not...vick did have a good game. Over all the blaze did well in my opion. They could have won it wide open no problem if they had hit half of what they missed from the free throw line. Good Job Guys! He didn't know Blake Bragg was directly behind him.

Were you there to see it? Bragg and Vick were both far down the court and Mimms through a long pass. Vick did not know that Bragg was behind him, so as he caught it Bragg stepped up and tried to catch it too. As they both held on to it Vick kind of tripped and committed a walk. I think it was a lack of trust or Bragg just wanted the two points for himself.

dajaun brown blackman deshawn smith blackman both either starting or first off the bench. dajaun has great defense and deshawn has the natural talent at the PG that can really take him somewhere.

he kept moving and held his seal in the post. well did any of the other posts put up any points? tay only had two and other than that nobody else did. the paper says vick put up five which is more than any of the other posts did! i will give dajaun credit on his defense. i think he had the right idea there, but the kid couldn't hit a freethrow! and the travel was not vick's fault AT ALL. and comparing to last year carl has really improved in his game. and yes it is me if you just had to know.

didn't do much? vick has really matured over the summer season. bragg was in his way and the travel that was committed was not vick's fault at all. and i watched the game myself the one or two offensive fouls that were called on him, the defense was holding his jersey! the refs were not impressive at all. especially to be at home! dejaun was impressive on defense coming in as a freshman. wallace and deshawn both have good qualities...not sure which one should start. wallace has more experience but i think deshawn might have more of the natural talent. vick had a good game. if he works on his defense on the bigger guys....he'll really be a good add to the team this year! good game carl!

Tukeea did play inside last year a lot, due to Brown's inexperience in high school basketball. (considering she was a freshman) Does Blackman even have an inside game? From the way it looked last year, they didn't.
